Take the squishiness of the bunkerlix in Hard mode and combine it with the randomness of General Kwai's attacking units, and what do you get? A serious round of "RNGesus take the wheel!"
It took quite a few tries to get this sorted out. I put together a light-ish defence on the top side but if you're lucky you won't need to do any of that (I lose the top half of my base anyway). I blind arty strike on the midsection of his base as he tends to reserve an army there. Offline, I've also tried faking an attack for him to pull his reserve units out but that made the follow-up helix attack somewhat unpredictable. Either not all the units are emptied out of the base, or the follow-up isn't quick enough and he rebuilds his reserves (and he can build tanks quite quickly as you might imagine).
I don't particularly like this strategy, not for a full run especially since it can be quite random. But if I'm gonna try it in a full run though, I might take my time and build up my helix count a little more. As you can see in this video, even 3 gatling tanks and a gat cannon were enough to halve my helix count. I cannot help but feel that there must be some way to stop the tank production before the helixes push in, because if I can do that AND draw the reserves out, the attack will probably be much less nail-biting.
