Israeli duo Infected Mushroom have led the global PsyTrance movement since the turn of the millennium, and fittingly, they’re slated to tickle the frontal cortex when they descend upon this year’s annual Dreamstate SoCal festival. To mark the occasion, they’ve tapped fellow Israeli producer Skazi to rework their own influential classic “I Wish,” as the centerpiece of the latest edition of ‘Part of the Dream’ compilation series, curated by the legends themselves.
Leading the way, Skazi steps up to the herculean task of reworking one of the psytrance genre’s most enduring classics, giving a fresh coat of psychedelic paint to the original’s iconic heavily FX-processed vocal topline. Alongside this, Skazi throws down punchy psy basslines, slinging textures, reversed piano stabs, and dark synth ripples, to ensure that “I Wish (Skazi Edit)” lands with maximum effect.

Infected mushroom is one of my first favorite since I started tripping years ago. Always very happy to listen to their music and definitely helps me stay motivated. Workout like I was in prison and someone wanted my commissary. For real though, hope you feeling good and mentally at peace c:

I've always been slightly more fond of the first Skazi remix than the original, but the only uploads I knew of were low-quality and lacked bass. I was not only delighted to see he re-did it, but that it's high quality and through an official channel! AND it was posted on my birthday this year!!! Absolutely lovely coincidence. Love this.
