So being better than someone else deserves ban? Like do you know how this would be abused? Aka guy gets game of his life on main account, and gets 1 month ban for smurfing (smurfs don't deserves permaban). Otherwise I agree. Though being smurf myself (Main MG1 and Smurf S1), I must say it's toxic af. I played only two games on my smurf, and both teams threw the game because they thought I cheated...

The problem with smurfing, if you're doing it on such a low level, there's no room for improvement for the players that are worse off playing against you, you then give players who lose against you; a black mark on their W/L record which will make it harder for them to rank up and play against players who are better than them on a more equal level. Smurfs that do it at such a low level deserved to be permanently banned because of what they do. Like, you, you deserved to be banned, you ruin the game for nine other people because it's not a fair match up of skill.

i have only 35 hours and 7 wins on my smurf, chill. Being better is still not bannable reason aslong as you don't cheat.

Yoshifan You're not getting the point, smurfing ruins matches for other players trying to get better at the game in the lower ranks, regardless if you're cheating or not. Those 7 wins are black marks on 5 other player's records that will make it harder for them to rank up because of CSGO's rank system, you deserve to be banned for it, no matter what defence you bring up, it's a piece of shit thing to do.

Smurfing definitely hurts the game, but theres no way you could possibly have evidemce someones smurfing. Just because someone plays very well a game doesn't mean their smurfing, and without evidence you cant convinct anyone of it either.

when you reach lvl 40 you can 'reset' your lvl and get a medal, for each time you reach lvl 40 you and reset you 'rank up' your medal bonze- silver- gold etc.

Valve doesn't consider smurfing to be griefing. Although a lot of people do. But if he gave everyone he thought was a smurf a griefing charge, he could potentially get his overwatch status revoked.(Is I believe how it works.)
