In this video, I redesign my old infinite byte farm and show you how to build an infinite byte farm using my new method. With a recent update making gasses researchable, it opened up an incredibly easy way to automate bytes.

Im so happy ur back, that storage system 3 months ago inspired me man, thought u left but now that ur uploading again happy I subbed and hope u change astroneer to a automation complicated thing like minecraft going from 4 year old basic game to master redstoner kinda thing, ur trending alot considering u just started uploading again, im sure u'll go big in 2 years

yeah, you can. Unfortunately the auto arms can't put anything in the chambers anymore though :/

I used this same principle for some free early game bytes but if you output the methane from a gas canister, put it back in and catch it fast enough you can have a canister of methane with almost nothing in it but it will still research for the same amount of bytes, great video Seck :)

I really tried super hard to make this work with auto arms, but unfortunately with every system that I tried, the auto arms only pick up gas from a station if it's full :(

@@Secks Yeah I tried the same thing for auto graphene production with hydrazine - the best I got was a system that auto generated 8 minimally filled ones at a time which you then had to transfer manually to a medium storage. Once it was full, it auto generated the next set of 8 and auto arms took the transferred ones away. I got it to a production of about 1/s but decided it wasn't worth the scrap saving for all the manual work lol

Very nice setup, do all gasses give the same amount of bites? or is it mainly the rate the the gasses are collected? I subscribed, you have interesting video's.

some gasses give more bytes than others. In the chart in the video, I figured out which gasses can be produced on each planet to get the most bytes/min possible factoring in concentration and byte value. Thanks for watching!

Great idea, the thing is, i feel like by time you could build all that, on atrox, you're pretty much maxed on research, as it's not really that hard to get the 284k needed to get everything, i did it in few hours on foot and tethers running around on glacio, 3u power to unlock the eco capsule, those are worth 15k each. Not hard to do 20, especially if you do it along with trains mission there, you can hook the power right on train. But I'm still going to build this cause it's cool, and i already have condensers on Atroz that aren't really doing anything for me.

Auto arms do not put crafting resources in research chambers, despite the fact that it is stated in 1.26 update (September 20) under QOL title

I like this for technical purposes but i feel like the early game you wont have the capability to achieve this and by the time you can feasibly do this it would be to late in the game for it to matter when you could just go pick up what you need then be done, the research is to finite to make the research biting this infinitely capable

Despite the limited research, you may want to stockpile bytes because limited time events require 500 bytes in the request platform to send a delivery of any size

I left the planet chart so it shows how profitable it would be on each planet. Honestly I think the only difficult part about it would be the power requirement. 122 units of power is a lot for a new player. You can scale it back as far as you want and it will still produce passive bytes while you're away

there's a bug that make research chambers explode your RAM usage until it reach max RAM usage, and can crash your PC/bluescreen/explode your PC is this method is safe from this bug?

I don't think this will work at all any more because they put a patch out that stops arms from placing things in research chambers
