Honestly, Infinite is to 2010-14 what seventeen is to us now. They were known for being syncronized and were also really known for their variety (aka their humor and chaos) sense! Also the person rapping and singing and being funny is Dongwoo, who is, indeed, the second oldest of the group!

Dongwoo is totally chaotic. He does everything rap, dance, sing, harmonize and make your tummy hurt by his comical antics. Infinite is a chaotic bunch!

We only recently learned that Woohyun (blue sweater second from the left) was recovering from cancer-related surgery at that time (and still is, although he just released his solo comeback album a few weeks ago, MV track "Baby Baby"). Aside from that, my favorite thing when rewatching this Killing Voice is to see how their eyes "shift modes" when they get into a more serious song. The group is famous for songs centered around desperation, and you can see how easily they flip into it when singing (and then immediately back out when they're not singing so they can go back to being chaotic trolls).

And goof ball that does everything is Dongwoo and he is always like that and that is why he is my bias.

I love the comfortable vibe of older groups like Infinite, SHINee, EXO, VIXX and BTOB. Years of performing combined with their history with each other. It's giving "we've been around this block and not a lot of f's given at this point". ZB1 trying to control the "Infinite chaos" in their comeback interview on M Countdown was a cute example of that "old vs new group" dynamic. L is just owning that "quiet, but don't let that fool you" vibe like D.O. in the EXO Killing Voice. "The Chaser" is always mentioned as their most iconic song, but "Bad" will forever have my heart. The strings and the drama is chef's kiss. I highly recommend checking out Sunggyu's solo stuff too.

Infinite was known as THE syncronized group. And they are really funny. I miss those days when infinite was on weekly idol, they have the most episode on weekly idol that they dont know what games to play anymore. The one who was laughing the most is the leader, the oldest and main vocal Sungkyu. the one rapping and singing is Dongwoo (also the main dancer). the one in blue sweater, the high notes is Woohyun (another main vocal). the one who was dancing in the corner is Sungyeol (he is the brother of Golden Child Leader Daeyeol) the cool guy holding the bottle in the middle is L (THE VISUAL, he also a great actor) and the one who has the unique voice in navy is the maknae Sungjong.

Even though Infinite are Golden Child's former label hyungs (literally as well since Sungyeol and Daeyeol are brothers) the pipe line of Infinite to Seventeen is pretty direct. I tried holding off on getting into SVT because being a fan of Infinite, I knew the power a group like that could have over me. I'm so happy Infinite are back and they own themselves now. My desperate old Inspirit heart needs to see them live.

I get so happy seeing how much joy Dongwoo gives others cause that's my bias right there! All of these songs get me teared up cause it felt so challenging at the time being an inspirit back then, because of how talented the boys were and how long it took for them to cement themselves as legends! I still get so much energy and joy seeing Dongwoo nowadays and its a testimate to how much of an impact he has made in my life ( I still listen to his solo Party Girl to this day and y'all should go an listen to cause its still so good)

Yes, there IS a lot of strings in their songs!! Their discography is very heavy on the instruments. It's like a mix of classical music and rock, with flawless vocals and harmonies on top, I think it makes their music very unique. They're also one of the groups that ALWAYS has a live band at their concerts and they hardly ever lip-sync, no matter how exhausting the choreo is

In general, Infinite is reallly chaotic and funny but when theyre performing theyre one of the top in performing live. The member who did the high notes is woohyun, and he recently released his first full album ! And he was diagnosed with GIST c- earlier on this year and had a surgery to remove in like April so while he was belting notes he was actually still recovering!

so happy to see infinite here!! as you can already kinda see by their vibe, they were amazing at variety back in the day. they were also known for their synchronized dancing (I believe the korean term "칼군무" which means knife-like sharp/synchronized dancing started getting extremely popular thanks to them), their good songs and solid live vocals/performances. They came from a small company (there's a famous story that they had to live with their CEO at first), they saved that company and basically built it. It's one of the miracles of kpop. They had multiple hits and their members were well-known. The guy in the middle with the blue shirt holding his water bottle is one of kpop's visual legends, seriously he was mentioned ALL the time, alongside jaejoong from dbsk. Since he was the visual the company didn't care much for his vocals so he was a weak vocalist at first but as you can see in the killing voice, he's now very good, he really improved a LOT. I think it's admirable that while the company only cared for his visuals he was determined to make efforts and improve vocally. The main vocal duo of sunggyu (guy in the middle w the white shirt) and woohyun (2nd from the right) was one of the best in kpop. I'd say they're still among kpop's top vocalists. Fun fact: woohyun is the one who popularized the finger heart that became so common now lol. Also, the guy who surprised you for singing and rapping is actually a main dancer too!

So, I'm joining into this conversation as another Inspirit and Carat :) I think's its an unavoidable combination with both groups getting recognised early on in their career for their synchronised dancing, being incredibily funny and having "their own sound". Also, with both teams maybe I don't love all of their songs, but I love their dynamics, appreciate their hardworking attitude and always root for them! Infinite mostly worked with one team of producers - Sweetune till 2014 and you can really hear that here (an iconic k-pop producer team I should add, producing for Infinite, Kara, Nine Muses, Spica and many others, they were an imporant part of the kpop sound with their 1980s synth and disco inspired productions at the time where autotune, techno and dubstep elements were also very popular). I've had blast watching your reaction! Yes, they were normally like that but I feel like it's even easier for them to be this unrestricted now and it's just so awesome to see!

Always happy to see INFINITE showing up on reactor channels! They were in my top 5 for a suuuuuper long time. Years. I used their dance practice to Before the Dawn for one of my presentations way back in college to try and spread the kpop love lol. It's the one I re-watch the most 'til this day. The synchronicity is insane. And the "scorpion" dance move became popular because of them!

Yes, Sunggyu the leader, has his own Killing Voice as a soloist which I think just shows you how prolific how an artist he is. From left to right: Sungjong, Dongwoo, Sunggyu, L (Myungsoo), Woohyun, and Sungyeol. They are goofy as hell with each other and their humor is brutal. They play with each other really well which is why they have quite a few variety shows available. My favorite is easily Infinite Showtime which is available with subs on youtube. I feel like that one shows their brotherhood the best and how much fun they are! I'm so excited that you got to see Infinite and I feel very blessed as a fan to have them back. The wait has been worth it.

i am crying as a former inspirit and now a granny carat. i started watching seventeen tv in 2013 and i got infinite's vibe in them thats why i became a carat. i miss infinte so much my bias was hoya sadly he didnt renew his contract in 2017 and left the group. this brings back so much memories.

My kings they have been together so long you can just see how comfortable they are together. Love Woohyun always will be my favourite even though I love them all there just so so good . Love that there back and more people get to enjoy them

The really energetic one, Dongwoo, is *SUPER* chaotic. But we love him so much 🥰 during their recent concert, this man was running around all over the stage needing to be literally chased down by Sungyeol (the dancing guy at the far end) - but then the next minute he was crying uncontrollably because of heing overcome by emotions at having a concert again after so long. 😂 they are hilarious to watch, so it would be cool if you checked out some of their variety shows!

Its not wrong to say Sunggyu, the Leader of Infinite and one of the Judges for Peak Time, is one of the greatest 2nd Gen Kpop vocalists of all time. Couple that with Infinite being known as the IT idol group for choreography, and Sunggyu really was that guy.

Due to differences with their company and the break due to military service, they were on hiatus for 5 years, so after obtaining the trademark of their name and music this year they created their own company Infinite Company with leader Sunggyu as CEO, New Emotions was their first comeback since 2018 and this Killing voice was their first performance together since that year, because their emotion is understandable, although chaos is always present with them xD Infinite is the first group to popularize synchronized choreography and they are known for singing with a live band, in fact they hate singing with tracks other than MR. It's funny that the chaotic people Dongwoo (rapper, singer and main dancer), Sunggyu (Leader, main vocalist and the one who couldn't stop laughing), Woohyun (main vocalist in blue sweater) and Sungyeol (singer, rapper and the one who kept dancing) are the oldest, and the two quiet ones are the youngest of the group Sungjong (the one with the pretty voice), the maknae and Myungsoo (vocalist, visual, the one who held the water bottle). So we used to have Hoya who is also an all rounder (rapper/singer/dancer) like dongwoo, our goofy boy. Their voices are diff but dongwoo has the closest voice colour to Hoya (imo) which I’m guessing is the reason why dongwoo ended up taking most if not all of hoya’s line when he left, which is why he sometimes has back to back sing to rap (and vice versa).

This brought so many memories! One of my fav group ❤❤❤

Absolutely no disrespect to this Killing Voice -especially since it’s one of my favorites- but you may dig INIFNITE’s discography more via recordings, whether album or live performances. INFINITE’s music is so powerful that this venue kinda tones them down. They are a quintessential mix of 2nd-3rd gen, which may be my favorite kpop sound. (Side note: What has been coming out in the last year in kpop is a close 2nd. It’s very exciting but definitely pulls from older pop/r&b so it isn’t AS original as early K-pop.)
