Gojo's design is amazing in a few ways. When you first see him without his blindfold he looks like a straight up beautiful guy, but a few seconds later he almost looks like a demon when he's ripping off Jogo's head. Its a great balance

Before you're "overwhelmed" was a the right statement considering the power of Gojo's domain LOL

From what I understand Gojo wears a blindfold so he doesn't get over prickled due to his senses. His six eyes technique, without spoiling basically makes him see FAR more than what any other human gets to see. And for normal daily use it is just too much for no reason I think.

as i said before jjk is heavelly inspired by bleach so there is a way to explain almost everything in bleach terms. Curse energy = spirit energy Cursed technique = shikai Domain Expansion = Bankai Everyone in jjk has their own inner world just like Ichigo had the skyscrapers when he would talk to zangetsu, What a Domain Expension does is pretty much create a barrier and inside that barrier is your inner world brought to reality, and mixed with it is your shikai that is made a guarantee hit

Very important that you finish season 1 (24 episodes) and then watch the movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, BEFORE watching season 2. The movie is 100% canon. I don't want to spoil anything, but please watch it in that order.

One of my favorite parts of JJK is how the good guys are the ones that are clearly winning (they have "the strongest" on their side and a full society of sorcerers), meaning the antagonists have to pull a lot of the weight of that which makes the viewer normally vouch for the protagonists. We learn almost immediately that the bad guys are the ones coming up with the plans to alter the status quo, as opposed to a story where the good guys are the one who must battle the overwhelming forces of evil. Right now we have very little idea of what these curse guys are planning, combined with their overwhelming display of power against seemingly anyone but Gojo almost strikes fear into the viewer/reader which has them at the edge of their seat throughout the entire story.

Gojo's Domain Expansion here always reminds me of the finish to the amazing Mayuri vs Szayel Aporro fight, where Szayel Aporro was experiencing so much of a sensory overload that he couldn't do anything as Mayuri stabbed him through the heart.

Gojo curse technique deals with space and it can manipulate time. By increasing the space between himself and the enemy he makes the attack slower and By decreasing space he can teleport or repel attacks and using imaginary space to attack.

Infinite Void overloads the brain with information, basically

JJK's writer is quite open about which shonen haavily influenced them, and Bleach is one of the big ones. Domain Expansion is basically an parallel to Bankai, something that in theory anyone is capable of, but only the strongest ever achieve. Even Gojo's DE is a Bleach reference, to the drug Mayuri uses on Syzael that sped up his mind so much that it basically made time stop.

On the topic of Domains It's very similar to Bankai, in that it actually takes natural skill (talent, iin short) just to even know you have one. To forcefully have one mostly gets you an incomplete Domain, so some Sorcerers who don't have one do have a roundabout on that problem which will be expanded in Season 2

To explain it without too much spoilers - while Gojo's eyes don't give him infinite information like his domain, they indeed enhance his perception beyond a normal human. Also, they allow Gojo to use his Infinity more effectively. That's why he wears a blindfold since this enhanced perception would exhaust him if used 24/7. Also, that's the reason he takes the blindfold off for Domain Expansion since it's a pinnacle of his techniques and he needs the enhancement from his eyes to be at 100%

Gojo’s eyes are not part of his domain expansion as such. Due to his inherent gifts (explained later), he can see much more than any other human. So he wears the blindfold as a form of sunglasses. He does not need bare eyes for the domain expansion, but it helps. Same way as taking off sunglasses would give you the maximum use of your senses. He needs to manipulate his cursed energy with a great degree of accuracy. And most people will not have seen his domain expansion, because. Or ally he does not need to use it. His other powers are entirely sufficient.
