I wish Flir would look on this and work on their software. Especially the temperature alarm is something i often wished for. Like when you charge some lipos that you don't 100% trust anymore being able to setup the thermal camera with a temperature alarm would be so helpful. Also the startup time is pretty impressive on this one. On my Flir One i could sometimes cook and drink an espresso while it tries to start :D

@@catalinbadalan4463 Rather radiative and convective. The normal temperature of a cat is 37.5 - 39°C. Cats cool down by breathing faster with their mouths open. During this, water evaporates on the tongue and in the oral cavity. Cat ears can also dissipate heat. Sweat glands are found in cats only in the area of the mouth, on the anus, around the teats and especially on the pads of the paws.

@@catalinbadalan4463 thx Captain obvious! Oh no a big meteor is going to hit Earth and kill us all! Don't worry, I have an app on my phone with the "save Mankind"=On... Seriously, what does that option do? How effective is it? What's the difference if it's off? Allowing to turn it off is a proof that it probably has some drawbacks and if you don't need it, it's better to turn it off. Usually there's a shutter that is activated regularly to close the it camera to have a known uniform temperature in front of it. This way you can compensate for errors. Maybe it's activated more often if the hottest point is too high to let that area of the sensor cool down. And maybe if it's too hot, close it most of the time to avoid any damage. But that's speculation from me. Does the manufacturer give any information on that?
