I find your videos so helpful and insightful. Most everything in this video seems to hit home. I've made great progress over the last couple years, but much more growth is still required lol. I think for myself I've experienced the most growth opportunities in "burn outs". Even tho they are so very painful, I'm too stubborn to make changes before it happens. Then it seems easier to just do the things cause I have no strength left and I can either hold it forever or just do it finally lol. Not much advice I could give other than just do what feels right. Keep going and eventually you will look back and see clearer. For now, just take a step, and another one, keep going!

Having a small child was helpful to a point as they just throw themselves at things and life is fast so you do have to be less perfectionist sometimes....but still did all nighters to do birthday cakes to the standard I set (and she came to expect!) 😆. It's so inherent it is a real battle to let go or to accept you might not that day do the best you could. I wanted her not to be similarly tortured but I don't think she's an infj although we are similar in some ways. Having a more spiritual understanding of life is helpful but there's always the critical voice. I do envy those quite content with slapdash or not having expectations of themselves as it did I'm sure contribute to my getting an unusual pain condition but it has allowed me to achieve certain things. A real sharp and double edged sword!
