I once had a cheap portable cigarette lighter driven compressor that I was holding 90 or 180 degrees from upright, and it smoked and stunk and was toast within 30 seconds. It had a short cord so I was holding it rather than setting it down. I was noticing that you seemed cavalier about the unit position before holding upright, just saying ;) This one must have a longer cord. That's even worse than the crap one I briefly owned!

Hey Bill, this one is cordless! It has a rechargeable battery built-in.

@@twHomeShowDumb me, I meant to say the hose, not cord. Unless you get the wheel with the stem near the pavement, that cord - I mean the hose - doesn't even reach the ground. That makes you have to hold it, and on mine, because I didn't hold it upright, smoke, dead. Maybe yours doesn't care about the angle. Note, it might have a compressor oil reservoir whose orientation might matter.I believe mine was so oil thirsty that you had to hold it upright when operating.
