Your not actually following the Ramsey way then. Ramsey way says do your 4 walls first. Sure maybe you aren't buying expensive stakes anymore. But you shouldn't have any issues buying groceries. If you are. You don't have enough for your four walls and should make a change. Besides. Groceries are cheap. 2k-3k per YEAR is all you should need right now per person. If you have a large family that should drop because Costco. It's not even a challenge to hit those numbers if you try. Don't throw away food ever. And plan your meals. Don't buy junk food. You don't need it. If you want it. Consider that a treat. Like dining out. You don't go out to eat when your broke. You don't buy chips & pop when your broke.

Dave almost always says the same answer to questions like this "just get another job” like it’s as easy as picking out a better looking fruit at the grocery store. I've been looking for over a year now and everyone is hiring, but almost no one is paying. It's just not that simple. I did find one that paid well, but they had 1,200 applicants. ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED APPLICANTS. It's crazy. You can't take a paycut to start in a different industry and work your way up unless you're already loaded and can afford several years of pay decrease or school (which also costs time)-- so most people are stuck. They're not 19 with infinite options, they're 35 with a family depending on them. My company did give TWO “standard of living wage increases” but it wasn’t enough. The only real option is OT, but in many places that's capped or unstable-- and in either scenario its just a temp fix. I understand a better paying job would help. But I want him to stop acting like getting that new higher paying job is so easy and making us feel like something is wrong with us for not being able to do it.

He has to admit it since he has lost so much credibility. He is a very arrogant hypocrite.

My wife and I eat at Olive Garden a few times a year and they definitely raised their prices. (But only about by 15%)

And to be fair, they probably had to give their workers a raise so that's what the higher prices are for.

If we weren’t growing and producing most of our own food- this would be very stressful. Our grocery bill is fraction of most peoples. Dave you said a few videos ago that inflation raises were ridiculous. I guess you have changed your tune. People need to ask for a wage increase as the cost of products/services have also gone up.

love that you grow your own food. I am slowly starting a vegetable garden in my backyard. Want it to be my primary source of vegetables some day.

Places like Costco have always paid people a livable wage. Other stores are now having to step up!

Again I like Dave but sorry out of touch. I can guarantee one thing right now most single people can’t afford a house it’s that freaking simple !! Starting houses especially around Charlotte are about 350 K right now that’s insane! Put it in the mortgage calculator most single people can’t afford a house. So whats Dave is going to start telling people now? Let’s get that 20% down?? Which could be upwards of 50 K-70k now!! OK but he says I don’t mind if you have to put 10% down OK?? What’s that gonna be about 30 K?? The point on making the inflation is ridiculous these houses are clearly not worth what’s going on for smaller starter houses. I’m going to continue to rent even though the rent is a little bit high there is no way I can afford even at 10% right now down and I’m debt-free and have a little chunk in savings. I’m getting a pick up truck because I’m going to be happy. And I’m gonna continue to rent for the next 3-4 years And see what happens
