I consider myself an avfan rather than have an avgeek. I love planes but I love travel even more. That’s why I really enjoy those videos you make when you show a bit of the towns and areas you’ve arrived in. This video was a great example of that. Having worked in India, I really love the little towns away from the main tourist track.

Your encounter with the tuk-tuk driver brought back many memories of my month-long trek through India years ago. As a U.S. EMB145 Captain, I love the airplane! It’s a very fun airplane to fly! I agree, I wish more airlines still flew them, as even mine are in the processes of retiring the fleet. I used to fly the EMB-120, and that was also a great airplane to fly. Embraer makes great airplanes!

I posted this separately, but did some quick research and it doesn’t appear that there has ever been a commercial operations fatality on an ERJ-145 variant. Considering how widely used that plane has been over the past 20 years, that is pretty incredible. You clearly got to fly a great little airplane.

Well, as Noel said this town doesn't see many tourists so it's not surprising that the guy wanted to make as much money as he could. I would say it is probably a struggle to earn money especially in a place like Kalaburagi. So it cost 200 rupees to get there and then the driver hung around to take him to the airport and he paid 1200 rupees. That's just over £14 in total and a pretty good deal.

Yes it was a rip-off. But to handle such situation, it is easy in India. Just walk away and dont respond. Thats all it takes. It may feel extremely rude in that moment but its the it is the way out of that situation. Personally, I cannot do that, as I feel pity.

Noel - the fact that you have a cartoon and little jingle for the loo review is classic and sets you apart. I bet that ERJ-145 spent a lot of time flying for American Eagle before being shipped off to the subcontinent. Interestingly, there has never been a single fatality recorded in the history of the ERJ-145 variant. Not one - amazing. With that said, I don’t share your enthusiasm for that plane - way, way too small and uncomfortable. But super safe and agile, clearly. Keep up the great videos.

@@article1934 Hey Article19 , Nobody is "whining" about prices. The complaint is about an agreed price being changed and "tourists" being ripped off and taken advantage off. In the UK the Taxis have a meter that actually works, and if you ask , the Taxi driver they will give you a fair estimate of what the fare might be on the meter. If you wanted to just agree a price, Taxi, Uber or even an unlicensed taxi I'm sure nobody would try to renegotiate the agreed fare once you arrived at your destination. We "Westerners" like to think of it as fair dealing. honesty and principles.
