Nevermind, I remembered. It's the Windmill Stage from Capcom vs SNK

it does look like watercolor! but its actually a brush used in photoshop at the time, the standard round shape with the opacity level at 30-45ish percent. i tried to find this technique years and years ago and when I found this out, I was relieved but skeptic as tried it myself and in time, that look was finally pulled off (for me) 😅

@@LDAWB She definitely used a traditional 'water-color' approach for some of her work while Photoshop was being integrated. As exampled in the 'making of' article for the Splash art of "Gamest Mook Vol 17. 'Capcom illustrations' " she uses a combination of Colored Pencil, Color Ink and Acryclic. I was suprised it wasn't digital, but not surprised that she is actually that good.

@@HorseyWorsey She did use watercolors and the traditional art tools in her past work. Her early works do have those aesthetics especially in that book. What I was meaning was the Capcom Vs SNK, Gaia Master, Cannon Busters, Overman King Gainer era where her style at that time was drawn traditionally but ‘colored’ digitally to match that rough, pastel, conceptual watercolor look. If she in fact meshed the two (traditional/digital) all this time going forward in her later works, I can be glad to be wrong and fooled and my respect for her work would be magnified. 🙏🏽
