Boxing was at its all time worst in the last 2 decades and was slowly being run over by the ufc and it wasn’t helping that the younger generation wasn’t interested in two men beating eachother with 10 ounce gloves. They should have kept the microphone away from them, they were just trying to hype up the fight. It's a common tactic in fight promotion, you make them seem like they are exchanging hard insults with too much commotion and a lot of people around them, to do it right you need to have absolutely no microphones between the two, it's commonly used when you have main eventers that have the braincell count of a drunk 6-year old cat. Edit: I am not a promoter, it's just something I noticed through watching many press conferences from beginning to end.
