How come when he was looking for usernames and passwords he only retrieved msfadmin? wouldn't he retrieve all of them? or does the command just find the first successful one

Yeah, because that’s the only password that is set up at the moment. If you have a word list that has more passwords and different usernames and if you’re using it for a different process it will work for you. Because I’m using MS 2

You can use various password lists. Kali has pass lists by default in /usr/share/wordlists. most used list is rockyou.txt (gunzip it first).
