I been having a black screen on mine. I checked the fuses and everything was good. The amp is good. as far as I know the HMI module is good. If I put the car on reverse the camera works just fine. My question is will changing the bcm fix this issue for me?

BCM is not likely. GM is notorious for being difficult to diagnose. Even though the back up camera is working it still may be a screen or HMI issue. It may be worth it to get both and then return the one that does not fix thes issue.

If we’re using CarPlay, why do we need OEM nav?

Apple Carplay/Android Auto utilizes your cell phone network. So if you are in an area with bad service or no service, you'll lost access to your Apple Carplay/Android Auto maps. Onboard navigation is satellite based navigation that utilizes the antennas in your vehicle. So you are less likely to lose access to onboard navigation due to bad signal.

Is there a wireless version? Can you add an adapter to make it wireless? Are you guys the only people who make this?

We developed the upgrade, but we don't exactly make this. These are OEM parts from GM, and we can program them to the vehicles. We should have a wireless option soon, but it's going to be the IOU system, the system that offers Wireless CarPlay in 2022 vehicles that we'll be retrofitting back to any vehicle capable of the IO5/IO6 systems. We're almost done with the wiring.

"The factory GPS navigation is awesome".... If I thought that, I wouldn't want to install CarPlay.

Hello Shawn, You don't have to add on apple car play/android auto for the 2014-2015 Corvette you can simply just add on the IO6 HMI module to gain factory nav if you have the non nav IO5 radio with the 8 inch touch screen radio with this OEM factory pre programmed solution we offer. @@Infotainment_nav Thanks for the offer. Although you did misconstrue my comments. I was just expressing my general disdain for manufacturer nav systems, and was mocking your praise for this one. They tend to be quite poor compared to the superior products from Apple and Google. (Which is why I'm interested in adding Apple CarPlay functionality in the first place)
