This 10 minute film shows the highlights of the exhibition Ingenious Impressions, held at the Hunterian in the University of Glasgow from 27 February to 21 June 2015. Showcasing the University’s rich collection of fifteenth century books ('incunabula'), this major exhibition charted the development of the early printed book in Europe, exploring the transition from manuscript to print and its impact on late medieval society. Focusing on a selection of the innovatively displayed books, the main themes of the exhibition and the background research it was based on (The Glasgow Incunabula Project) are described in a 'walk round' with curator Julie Gardham.
