We should never forget what was done by the millions that gave their lives for the freedom of civilisation. I personally will always be grateful to the Red Army for my freedom, no country gave more in defeating international fascism and evil , thank you those who fought in the the Red Army.

When I was at the World War II Museum in Gdansk (Poland) this song was in the background in the Soviet section of the museum...I keep singing it afterwards when I think about my visit to that museum

My granduncles and grandfathers fought for the Soviet Union during world war 2, one of them drowned in the black sea while in Crimea, one survived, sadly most of them died
