Millions of innocent women and children suffered unspeakable horror at the hands of the soviet "liberators". Rape victims were not just Germans. Polish women also suffered. So did young Russian, Belorussian and Ukrainian women who had been sent back to German-controlled territory by the Wehrmacht for slave labour. While the German military were the ones that brought the war about and caused much suffering during the war, there is no excusing the disgusting behaviour of the Red Army during the final months of the war. Had the Soviet people truly been morally superior to their vanquished foes, they would not have behaved as such monsters towards defenseless women (and children). Ultimately when it comes right down to it, the Soviets had power over other people and along with that immense power came an opportunity to exercise that power for good or evil. It's obvious that the opportunity to treat the people they had conquered humanely was not seen as being worthwhile and only satisfying their most base desires interested the victorious, drunken mass of men (and women) known as the Red Army. It is a great tragedy and shame that barbarity of that reprehensible nature claimed the hearts of the Soviet forces in the end. As far as I'm concerned, the rapists that ran wild unchecked betrayed the memories of all the Soviet people that had died to rid their homeland of the German invaders. Those fallen soldiers had not given their lives so that their surviving comrades could rape with impunity once the struggle was finally over, that's for sure.

Премьер министр Японии Кантаро Судзуки заявил: "Вступление сегодня утром в войну Советского Союза ставит нас окончательно в безвыходное положение и делает невозможным дальнейшее продолжение войны" Эта речь была высказана даже после сброса бомбы и заявления и устрашения Японии правительством США . Но после того как мнения об капитуляции в Японии разделились, и в итоге в обсуждение вмешался лично император. 14 Августа 1945г Император Хирохито записал своё заявление, в котором упомянул ядерное оружие. "К тому же, в распоряжении противника находится новое ужасное оружие, способное унести много невинных жизней и нанести неизмеримый материальный ущерб. Если мы продолжим сражаться, это не только приведёт к коллапсу и уничтожению японской нации, но и к полному исчезновению человеческой цивилизации " Но уже 16 Августа 1945г Император отметил уже вторжение Советского Союза, не упомянув ядерное оружие. in general, I want to say that the USSR was such a country that it was much more terrible than Nazi Germany, this country even did not put its soldiers during World War II into anything, every soldier who was captured by the Germans and if he managed to somehow escape back to the army of the USSR then immediately killed him because all refugees from German captivity were considered traitors and enemies of the people.

It was their sacrifice, whether it was noble or otherwise, that won the allies World War 2. Nukes wouldn't have stopped Germany because with all the resources they weren't wasting fighting in the Eastern Front, they would've built enough planes for the Luftwaffe to shoot down any bombers. ICBMs came about thanks to German scientists, former Nazis, so it would take much longer to acquire those. With the allies Germany first doctrine, not only would they be stuck in Europe and Africa as Germany could push them out and repel their nuclear bombers, but Japan would be left to go crazy in Asia. The world would suffer the horrors of Japan for much longer. If you thought the USSR or Germany were bad, they don't compare to Japan. So like them or hate them, one has to respect the Soviet contribution which may have saved the world. Also Hitler being dumb enough to attack the USSR helps a lot

Thanks to this, Hitler could attack my homeland shoulder to shoulder with the USSR. Stalin then hoped that the Germans, French and British would bleed to death fighting each other and that the USSR would be able to attack all of Europe. If Stalin didn't want war, why did he let Hitler start a war? If he was afraid of Hitler, why didn't he create a buffer state between the USSR and the Third Reich? Hitler simply attacked first. Because Allies never cared, they wanted Germany and USSR to fight and then they would defeat the winner, they simply didnt expect germans to turn west first. And if you think allies were all friendly to USSR, then look up "operation dropshot". It was created before USSR even started to produce its own nukes. And stop with this "innocent Poland" bullshit. Who started the soviet-polish war? Who massacred thousands of ukrainens. belarussians and jews? Who occupied vilnus? Who occupied zaozolie? And Poland considerd Germany its main ally untill 1939. What else was left for USSR if allies not once proved that they want them dead?
