Quite simply the greatest movie I've ever enjoyed, it will just take its time, but a classic slow burner a gem of a movie that for me far exceeds The big Labowski

Es una de las mejores pelis que vi en los últimos 10 años. La puedo ver y volver a ver y nunca me cansa. Una obra de arte carajo.

After watching Inherent Vice i feel like i've outgrown all the other photographic/cinematic compositions of his previous films. He evolved ten-fold for this film and it's as beautiful as his previous but i feel like i can't romanticize them as much as i can with Inherent Vice :/

Im obsessed with this film. Ive watched it 3-4 times and I can't stop thinking about it. It's funny (mostly), sad, depressing, and intriguing all at the same time. Makes me feel like I missed out on the 60s although I realize this movie is about a negative conclusion of the 60s, the sad, ironic ending of the hippy counter-culture movement. Not saying Sportello lived a joyful life in 1970, but I love how he just "cruises" through life: Dealing with a serious case while at the same time not taking himself serious. He is coping with the loss of Shasta yet he manages to stay calm (while confused) in most situations, taking it as it comes. I can relate to sportello. Living in a haze, consuming any drug (except smack) to "cruise control" through his lasst/first year of a new decade, hoping to keep a hold on his happy moments in his earlier life. Something that will not come back again the same EVER. Poor guy. I feel bad for him and at the same time Im proud of the Sportello character. I relate much to him that I think I'm depressed and might need to deal with my own demons.
