@@lna913 Iniesta had better ball control than messi, Messi injects pace into his dribble so he lets the ball go further away. On the wing that makes sense as you're 1v1. Iniesta was often 1v2 and would beat players with ease. He didn't have the option of going either way as he dont have pace. His actual dribbling is unmatched. Messi is a more effective dribbler.

Ronaldinho was also the only world class player at Barca before Deco came over so he suffered quite a lot creating goals for players who couldn't score.

I'm a Croatian, but I've never seen Modrić do that. Of course, I haven't seen all Modrić's games, but I'd still say there's no way he could ever do that - while I've seen Iniesta do this many times. Practically in every game. Not to put down Modrić, he's great at orchestrating teams and games, he's had better longevity and maybe he's better at, I don't know, injecting the whole team with relentlessness and unwavering faith in success, no matter the situation. But this kind of skills are, have always been and always will be the pinnacle of football for me.
