It feels like Iniko brought this song into the world at the exact right moment, as a dazzling and crucial reminder -- at least for me it aligns with so many aspects of my thought and life that this is an unmistakable message. Not a prophecy, but a declaration and a vision; a psychedelic breakdown, and an announcement of here-ness. I want to sing the chorus as "...but I need to be humble" because pride has been my #1 demon, and I endeavor to choose compassion every day... But humility unchosen is a bitter fate, so we must also know when to rise. But how to rise and also *lift up* others! I think that's exactly what Iniko is doing, with every breath. Went to see iniko yesterday 5/14/2023 at 33 Pearl Street and I have the say it was awesome ✨ love her spirit, her vibe and the atmosphere was respectful and down to earth, love her music. This was a great mothers day outing with my king. I would love to see her again.
