Amazing! I've been following you quite a while and I don't understand why you're not a hit sensation. As a fellow musician, I think you're very talented and deserve way more attention. Anybody who hears this should be memorized. Not sure why they aren't flooding your channel. But I'll always follow you. It's quite obvious you put your heart and soul into your productions. Thank you.

Thanks for the kind words, really appreciate it. There's so many talented musicians in the world that it's hard to be successful, especially if you're not doing everything you can to make yourself known (social media promo etc.) and I have no interest in all that, I just want to make music for the fun of it and upload it to my channel

@@Tremendouz I had always thought that as long as you blow on the wind instrument it was always in tune, learned something new today
@Tremendouz2 жыл бұрын
@@soundsandstuff Haha I wish. I'd say that you can "bend" the low octave notes a full semitone by going from underblowing to overblowing. Ocarina is even more sensitive about this I've heard.

Lovely playing! One of my favorite slow airs. Also very like the sound of Goldfinch Low D, and this whistle looks so elegant

Thanks! And the Goldfinch has a very pute sound without lots of air noise

Oh, this reminded me. Would you mind checking how large the 5th hole is in your Nightingale low D? I'm curious how the dimensions compare to my Goldfinch which has around 12mm diameter for the 5th hole. Also, I'm curious about the distance between the centers of the last two holes. That's 46mm in the Goldfinch. I'm asking because I've been considering the Nightingale at some point but I haven't seen anyone comparing it to other whistles.
@TineSylkie2 жыл бұрын
@@Tremendouz Diameter is 12 mm, the distance between holes is 47 mm. The main feature of Nightingale is a thick tube side - 1.7 mm, and the inner diameter of the tube is 22 mm. This makes the sound dense, loud and directed. Goldfinch sounds more "airy" and light to me, close to traditional sound. Nightingales have their own unique timbre, not very traditional I think
@Tremendouz2 жыл бұрын
@@TineSylkie Thanks! That's not as big stretch as I was afraid of. The inner diameter seems similar but that tube is a bit thicker so it must weigh more since the Goldfinch is plastic.
@TineSylkie2 жыл бұрын
@@Tremendouz Yes, they are a bit heavy, but many whistlers say that Nightingales a very light in weight compared to other aluminum whistles, such as Goldie, Chieftain, etc

Hello, very good music ... I will receive my low D whistle Goldfinch.. but i have fear when i see the size of the holes because i have very slender fingers. Is it playable or its only playable by Big fingers? Thanks you
@Tremendouz2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I have quite slender fingers for a guy but I manage fine after some practice. The holes aren't massive but they are a bit larger than for example the holes of a Tony Dixon polymer low D.
@jimmymary55262 жыл бұрын
@@Tremendouz ok thanks so Much :) my fingers are just 1.5cm.... lol
@Tremendouz2 жыл бұрын
@@jimmymary5526 The largest hole (for bottom hand middle finger) has around 11-12 mm diameter which sounds like a lot but with piper's grip it's fine since you don't use the fingertip

Haha, just something video game inspired I came up with to hide my face without just cropping it out.
@urosmarjanovic6632 жыл бұрын
Great effort, great tune... High D wasn't quite in tune with Low D though... And you don't really need costume if you are filming it in your room. A lot of fantasy is taken away with the sight of wall plugin and light switch.
@Tremendouz2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I did actually use some pitch correction (Melodyne) to make sure the cheap Sweetone high D was approximately in tune with the low whistle but I'm not used to playing high whistle so my pitch is very wobbly. I agree about the light switch but it's the only space that I can film in. The costume was just something I came up with so I could hide my face without just cropping it out

I'm Irish and whilst I like your playing but the outfit is totally incongruous to Irish music. Sorry.
@Tremendouz2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Nevermind the outfit, it's just something I came up with to be able to perform without just cropping out my face. I actually don't play that much Irish music with the whistle in the first place, I simply fell in love with the sound of the instrument and want to use it for various styles

The outfit makes no difference to the song , im Irish too and i find you're rendition melodic and soothing. I've just started playing the low whistles and the challenge from transitioning from high D to low D is hard. Any suggestions concerning the pipers grip etc .. Thank you
