@@Papisnicker No complaints at all. It drives beautiful and it’s a head turner. The only thing I wish, would be that it had better sensors for crash alerts, and a better back up camera. The camera isnt great. And the technology in the car isn’t amazing. I feel like Toyota put all its focus on the engine and handling as well as looks. Not so much in the technology of the car.

I got the AEM. Not only does it sound much better with a raspy rattle at the 6k-6500 range, shifting, it doesn’t cause you to alter the vehicle in anyway. I would suggest that you add a washer or two under the oem intake on the left side where it bolts to the frame. The opposite of where you wrenched in the filterbox. That little bit of difference caused mine to snap.

I got the AEM and slapped it on real quick after work. Took some wiggling to get the tube in. And I guess I was missing a few bolts? The bolts to hold my MAF sensor in were not in there. I just used the ones from my stock intake. Didn't have to drill any holes or anything. Heat shield looks a little bit different than the INJEN one too

How are you feeling now after some hot ass days? I feel like it heat soaks and you lose some low end TQ but gain up top. Am I crazy? Lol I even put stock air box back to see and it feels like that’s the case.

Debating if I should get an intake for my trd also. Been reading about it on the trd group on fb, peeps say it’s only worth it if you’re gonna get the d3 tuner with it. And others have said it hurts performance that the stock one is already good enough. And last option would be doing the k&n tube and filter route that I’ve seen but for the price of that might as well just go full intake lol decisions decisions lol how’s the injen been holding up on your trd ? Any performance gains that are really noticeable or just placebo effect?

I used the filter that came with the intake, and added the pre filter for added protection. I believe it comes with the super nano web filter already

I liked the Injen, and I’ve used them on other vehicles so that’s my main reason for going with them. I’ve heard good things about the AEM unit for these cars as well

Nice! I’ve been considering a res delete. How does it sound? And yes, disconnecting the battery is always a good idea. Definitely won’t hurt anything

Your car sounded awesome. I just bought the black on black 2021 TRD. Sweet car, but I am getting the Injen Cold Air Intake. Do you know if this voids out the warranty? You did mention to set back to stock intake before taking it to the dealership.

So it wouldn’t “void” your warranty, but if any intake related parts were to fail (mas air meter, intake runners and so on) they could deny that specific repair if they could prove that your intake causes the failure. Best practice is to remove it before taking to the dealer for any warranty repairs

I thought these intakes are actually worse for your car?? Sounds cool but what about the long term effects of messing with your factory setup?

As long as the MAF housing is the same size as factory you’ll have no issues. Larger MAF housing would require a tune. I recommend dry filters on MAF equipped vehicles, as the oiled filters can contaminate them

The best way to wake these cars up is a tune. I’m planning on tuning this one soon, but I’ve heard of some issues with the 2021’s after being tuned so I’m just waiting for D3 to work their kinks out

Kind of an old comment, but against popular opinion, a decent amount of aftermarket stuff will not void warranty unless it damages or harms the vehicle in any way. They must also show proof of the damaged caused by the part.

Got a quick question as well . How were you able to do it with no check engine light , bc when I installed the Injen intake on the same car you did , my check engine light was on and it still is , not sure how to remove it

Please think of it this way: Your ECU is the brain, it recognizes the stock intake system. If you swap for a different intake and do not “tune” or train your ECU (the brain) it will effectively do nothing with your intake. In fact it will throw a check engine code because the MAF sensor will recognize a rich or deficiency in the oxygen level. When you tune it, you tell your cars brain that these are the new parameters, thus utilizing the intake, and preventing inhibitions from the ECU.

I got fbo trd , AEM INTAKE , D3 Performance Tune , throttle body spacer , and pilots 4s am making 350-380 to the wheels Alredy keeping up with a good amount of infinity’s G35s ,G37s , 350z , bmw , even some v8s and other cars this car has potential, just wait for the turbo kit from d3 and also the new tune it’s flex fuel kit gonna be pushing and extra 10-20 whp this car has potential and a future !!

No not headers , I backed out on that for now , am waiting what’s gonna be the price range for the turbo kit , if it’s more then 5k am not getting the turbo , and am going with the headers and fuel kit and other things should be making around what with the turbo kit makes maybe a little less then what the turbo kit is gonna make , along let’s am 400+ the the wheels is okay . Turbo kit should make and extra 450 to the wheels .

I’d probably consider them equals. K&n didn’t have any intake offerings for the 21 Camry V6, so I had to go a different route. I’ve used Injen on other vehicles in the passed and had no issues so it was easy for me to give them another shot
