I do not understand why the Mother had her back. knowing all these people behind. Was she tranquilized too? I know they put the stick behind her ear. still even before that she did not move. just stood there while they drag the baby. Do you think Mama comes back here to fetch her baby?

Karen Sue Pohlmeier - Remember please, that your book the "the holy bible" indicates that god killed all animals, leaving a pair each. I do not believe the story (or any part of any holy book) and am surprised that any logical, critically thinking person could. I say this to illustrate the complete and utterly ridiculous notion that your god would give one damn about this rescue. Your tradition indicates that god chose the horrific death of drowning for all creatures on earth; to include the baby animals. Humans as well, and their babies. God, in your tradition, couldn't give one single fuck about life or beauty. You are really a sick fuck for not carefully examining your religion as it would utterly expose the fraud that it is. You are welcome to debate me on this but I will make mincemeat of you, as I have 0 (zero) respect for religion and no tolerance for its practitioners. Goobuldy gop at its finest. May these men store beautiful memories of their efforts to rescue this proud little elephant, in defiance of gods nature and in defiance to service by command, and rather service by choice; in the service of self-delight and nature!

@billyfromtheusa - Show me where in my post that god is not the author. Religion is any attribution of events to a deity. You can make warm and fuzzy comments all day, and talk of how true worship is separate from religion... it is not, and it is birthed from the religion that it relates to. Everything I stated in my post is a fact, no need to embellish or detract, the book speaks poorly all on its own. I do know the reason I was born Billy, to live life. What I do with that living is for me to decide, and for me only. Reason and critical thought got us to airplanes and pain medication, modern dentistry, air conditioners, the end of slavery, ending the suppression of women's rights, ending the burning of witches, ending forced marriages, etc... etc... etc... If you had proof, if god was self-evident, if his signature was everywhere, if miracles were a reality, if you could demonstrate any of these things, then you would be justified in your assumptions of a deity. The problem is you are not because you cannot. I love humanity, as stupid and easily misled as we are, and I need no god to treat others the way I wish to be treated. That is the whole of civilization; commonality. If you wish to debate this further, I suggest you be ready because I don't pull punches and will not let you slide on any of your rhetorical bullshit. It is either true, or it isn't, no matter how much you want it to be otherwise. If you mention faith then the argument is over, faith is not a path to truth or knowledge. Any claim could be taken on faith: Flying spaghetti monsters, fairies, trolls, gnomes, werewolves, vampires, Jesus, gods, Krishna, Vishnu, Amun Ra, Thor, Frig... you name it. Feel free to comment with substance, but if you respond with your beliefs or a biblical reference, I will just abuse and ridicule your response. You are certainly free to sit at your home or church and cut your cocks anyway you like, you can eat the flesh and blood of others, pray, wiggle about and utter undecipherable jibberish, make offerings, or whatever other nonsensical rituals you might wish to perform. Just don't expect to walk among educated and thoughtful people, those applying reason and benefitting from its advancement, to coddle you.

WHY? because they are shoving the bottle down this babies throat, can't you see that? The baby isn't ready to take that bottle or doesn't want it right now. How about you getting a bottle of milk shoved down your throat and see how you like it

@@chirpychirpy2813 they are giving it to hydrate the animal. The baby may be rejecting it due to the smell of medicine they added. U will administer medicine forcefully to ur child even if the child rejects having it. Same here. Sri Lankan veterinarians are pretty good in treating elephants.

Great work! I just have two points to make: 1) when transferring and carrying out any medical intervention on a young calf, you must cover their eyes to prevent sun exposure and also to prevent giving them visual stimuli that might stress them 2) when trying to bottle feed a young calf, please do so slowly, it's just a baby and needs time to swallow what's been fed to him. Thank you for all you do! Namaste!!

It's nice that you want to help the baby! Thanks a lot! I (and maybe other viewers) would love to know what the baby was having and how long it took to recover. I would so much like to see this work and be able to accompany the baby a little by video. This work shows your full ability. Then it would be wonderful and very exciting to be able to see a release and maybe also a reunification with the mother and the aunts. It always hurts to see an injured elephant, so I would like to see the happiness that follows. Maybe that's too much work and takes too much time, which you need for the elephants. But I would also find it important for your work that people see what you are doing and that you are doing well!

Agreed - and we should be living in caves and picking our mates by dragging them off by the hair :D "Natural" arguments died when we gained nearly complete control over our actions - I hear it over meat-eating, families - almost everything - reality now is there's not really any such thing except that which we chose to artificially designate so. Leave it to "nature" after what we've done to the planet & I doubt there'll be any of this left within 50 years.

@angelus36055 жыл бұрын
@@emmar2977 that all depends. If the baby was injured because of human actions, then people should get involved and help if possible. If the baby's condition is due to anything other than human actions, then yes I agree people should not get involved, and just let nature do what it does. Baby animals die by the hundreds every day by natural causes (illnesses, predators) in the wild, that's nature sorting the weak from the strong. That's just part of the natural course of things. However when people are the cause of the problem, then I think it's right if other humans want to step in and help.
