Honestly, with MK11: Aftermath adding in Shang Tsung, I'd love to see him as a DLC in Injustice 3. His craftyness and cunning would send shivers down everyone's spine. And imagine if they added Quan Chi as well, we could have the Deadly Alliance.

seems like the injustice universe is part of the MK vs DCU timeline, i think this is WBs way of merging the MK franchise they bought back in 2009 with their other properties which i think is really cool, i like the idea that MK would be part of the DC franchise and eventually becomes part of their universe at least in terms of that their realms can be separate but can also be able to cross over to the DCU canonically.

for anyone confused as to why the mk characters are like "the realms in danger and timelines are splitting in shit. now we have to fight!" know that in the MK mythos the act of mortal kombat and more specifically the mortal kombat tournament is what holds the stability of the realms together and prevents neatherrealm from invading earth realm. I like to think that the MK universes between Mortal Kombat 9 and MK vs DC are two separate realities running at the same time. Raiden (MK vs DC) - In my realm, Liu Kang and Kitana rule Edenia. i dont see anything wrong with that, netherealm has gotten better at making fighting games after MK vs DCU hell MK vs DCU was the reason we even have story modes like this in fighting games, like with the ESRB rating MK is starting another gaming trend, this is why you see other fighting games trying to do the same type of story mode cause netherealm studios started it and everyone loved the idea, street fighter 5 attempted it and marvel vs capcom infinite did it.

That first Sub Zero vs Sub Zero dialogue was a tease to MK11's story. Edit: The irony of Raiden's ending is that the thing he's fighting for was exactly why Kronika was evil.

Too bad some of the similar characters are no longer alive/playable like Sindel (Black Canary) and Kabal (Flash). Would be funny to see Johnny Cage as Green Lantern though, though I'm not too keen to see Sub-Zero as Captain Cold or Scorpion as Firestorm.

If you play mk11 story mode,or at least raiden and sub zero,these references make alot of sense. The mention of Armageddon,the multiple timelimes,even the part when they talk about the future is basically a setup for mk11. It feels odd but interesting how they connect mkx and mk11 to injustice2 abit.
