In case you guys were wondering about Dex-Starr's backstory: Dex-Starr was originally a single woman's cat named Dexter, whom he loved as much as she loved him. One day someone broke into her home, and although Dexter attacked the intruder with his claws but he couldn't stop him. Dexter's owner was brutally murdered. When the police eventually arrived and saw Dexter they kicked him out of the house, yelling, "Scram!" as they said they didn't want him to ruin the crime scene. As he found a place to sleep, sad and alone, two hoodlums found him and shoved him into a sack, and he was thrown into the river. Feeling the rage and sorrow in his heart, Atrocitus called out to him making him the Red Lantern "Dex-Starr" with Dexter soon using the ring to exact revenge against the two men who had placed him into a sack before attempting to throw it into a river. Afterwards, Dex-Starr flies back to his late owner's apartment and cuddles by her lifeless body crying and says, "I find who hurt you. I kill. I good kitty." -DC Database

The Lanterns are powered by the emotional spectrum so the users are tapping into a certain emotion to use their ring. Green-Will Yellow-Fear Red-Anger Orange-Greed Blue-Hope Violet-Love Indigo-Compassion White-Life Black-Death

Each lantern corps ring has thier own unique abilities as well for the most part. Yellow rings are able to scan targets and reveal thier worst fears for the ring bearer to then exploit Red Rings switch off the bearers heart and convert thier blood into super hot plasma that they can vomit up, and also eats through constructs and light shields. The Red Ring can also induce feelings of rage and anger within targets, causing them to lose focus as they lose themselves to wrathful emotions. Orange Ring (there is only one) induce a mind shattering drive within those who behold the orange light to WANT it all, to the point such overwhelming greed overrides all other emotions. The Orange Ring is also capable of stealing the identities of those it kills, allowing them to be recreated as Orange Lantern Constructs driven by the ringbearers will, and can even operate autonomously from them. Star Sapphire rings can lock onto feelings of love anywhere within the universe, but especially to the love of your life, your soul mate, and are capable of teleporting you to them, and they to you with but a thought. Blue Rings are designed to boost the wielders of the emerald light and can only use blue energy constructs when near a green lantern corpsman, but they can also consciously choose to boost the rings of any other lantern corps. Indigo Rings are parasitic rings much like the Orange Ring - in that they overwhelm the hosts mind to only be capable of feeling intense compassion for others, and suppressing the memory of who they were before putting on the ring. Indigo Rings can also teleport across cast distances and can mimic the abilities of other rings, but require those ringbearers to be nearby to do so White Lanterns can manipulate the fabric of reality as each of thier rings contains a fraction of the Life Equation from the Source Wall, and can thusly do virtually anything. Black Rings can ressurect the dead, though the returned are bound to the will of Nekron, unless the will of the first black lantern is strong enough to overcome Nekrons influence. Black Rings essentially wear thier hosts bodies like a puppet, talking in thier voices and having access to thier memories so as to goad those close to them into emotional reactions (as black lanterns can only see the emotional spectrum and are indifferent to those with zero emotions). The Phantom Ring was based off Volthooms orirgnal power ring, but without its instability. The Phantom Ring is capable of channeling every colour of the emotional spectrum, though it can only maintain each colour for as long as the user is experiencing that emotion. You feel rage - you’re a red lantern You be kind - you’re an indigo lantern You get scared - you’re a yellow lantern Don’t know too much about the Starheart as I’ve not read many stories with it involved, but to my knowledge it is it’s own entity that possessed a host chosen by the Zamarons to become the Star Sapphire, the champion of love and the Zamarons. The Star Heart has a nasty habit of corrupting those who host it however, and eventually Carol Ferris overcomes it’s influence and becomes one of the first new star sapphires, getting her powers from a violet power ring rather than a cosmic entity.

@@moonrock115the white lanterns can also channel all the emotional spectrum abilities as well. The only way to use the white lanterns power is to have strong emotions for every emotion in the emotional spectrum which is why it’s almost impossible to become one.

You got the name right. Reverse Flash is his arch enemy, like Joker to Batman. His outfit is always yellow. They featured him on the CW show. Same power set, killed Barry’s mom. Captain Cold is also a popular enemy.

Revenge Flash being his actual supervillain moniker is somewhat inaccurate, however. All the Flash have their own Reverse Flash, with it being more of a general term to group all of them. Jay Garrick, the original, had "The Rival(Edward Clariss)" Barry Allen had Eobard Thawne who went by Professor Zoom, while the CW show and this game just called him Reverse Flash. Wally West had Hunter Zolomon, who went by Zoom, wearing a very similar costume to Thawn, and the CW show just also gave him to Barry, allowing him to keep his name, but changed his costume.

Man The Flash show had some shit writing, but they definitely did some things right. Tom Cavanaugh(sorry if I misspelled it) was amazing as the Reverse Flash. And i learned about the Firestorm from the show too, it lines up 100% with this game.

13:18 Atrocitus is actually a Green Lantern villain and the leader of the *Red Lanterns* , a Lantern Corps *powered by the emotion of rage* , as the Green Lanterns are powered by will, and the Yellow Lanterns are powered by fear. In DC comics Green Lantern lore is incredibly interesting and the majority of Lantern stories are complex deep dives into the validity and importance of our emotions personified through these different coloured lantern corps. *Green Lantern stories are especially some of the best DC stories* as they feel so massive and epic in complex storytelling and worldbuilding, especially *the Geoff Johns Green Lantern comic run that was groundbreaking for the character and introduced the concept of different emotional Lantern colours* . Green Lantern is literally DC's Star Wars, which has yet to be adapted on the big screen. It's truly sad because they could make an entire sci-fi film saga surrounding the Green Lantern mythos Different Lantern Corps/Emotional Spectrum: *Red = Rage* *Orange = Greed* *Yellow = Fear* *Green = Will* *Blue = Hope* *Indigo = Compassion* *Violet = Love* *Black = Death* *White = Life*

Firestorms' powers are actually really op. He can literally manipulate matter down to the atoms and create anything out of something else simply by rearranging the atoms. That's how he was able to create the kryptonite. By rearranging the atoms in the air around his hands. He's one of my favorites.

Part of the Reverse-Flash's reason for existing despite the timeline change is because he can use the negative speedforce and travel outside of the multiverse and timelines and because he did so while the timeline changed, he became a living paradox

2:55 long story short. Thawne admired The Flash, duplicated how Barry got his powers, became a Flash, but then found out he was meant to become the Reverse Flash spent years hating Barry, decided to change the timeline to try to make sure Barry would never become The Flash so went back in time and killed Barry's mother and they've been enemies for decades and centuries in some cases

@@bhuvandeep1219 I have heard a different origin. It said that Thawne became a speedster like Barry and admired him too. But he wanted to outshine The Flash in popularity and become the first flash in history, so he travelled back in time and killed Barry's mother. They've been rivals ever since.

No, he never means to kill Barry in the comics he just wants him to suffer. After he went back in time to be with Barry (wearing Yellow because it's the color Flash's sidekick wears), he learned he didn't matter to him and he's just someone Barry forgot about. And after learning he's suppose to be Flash's greatest villian, he's mind broke and if he couldn't be flash's best friend, he would be his greatest enemy.

3:06 This right here is what live-action speedster fights should look and feel like! This is the type of choreography we should've gotten in The Flash (2023). Hopefully, the DCU had speedster fights look and feel as impactful as this fight was, with dynamic choreographed movement. BTW the speedster in yellow is named *Eobard Thawne/aka The Reverse Flash* who is actually Flash's archenemy and greatest enemy, he is possibly one of the most psychotic and pettiest villains in fiction, he's a time traveller from the 25th century who was once a massive Flash fan, but after Flash met him in the future and after Barry instilled hope that he could be just like him, Thawne was eager to prove himself to his hero, so he replicated Flash's suit and triggered the same accident that gave Barry his powers, but instead he was connected to the Negative Speedforce. THawne quickly discovered that in his new future, the Flash's greatest enemy was actually destined for him after visiting the Flash museum and discovering his entire existence and purpose was to be the villain to his greatest hero and have no way of changing his fate, this alone broke him mentally and thus embraced his future, but with a burning, unfathomable hatred for Barry, using his time travel abilities to screw with Barry's entire life just for the sick pleasure of it, he killed Barry's mom, pushed Barry down some stairs as a child, erased Barry's only childhood friend from history just so Barry could be an introverted outcast, killed Barry's dog, framed his dad for murdering his mom and continued to do countless deplorable things just to piss off Barry and to make sure their predetermined future is set as rivals. Thawne is very similar to Syndrome from The Incredibles. Thawne is the definition of a menace and actually makes the Joker look like an amateur compared to the unforgivable things he's done.

The thing that you guys have to remember is that INJUSTICE 2 is here to tell its own story whilst introducing you to characters you may have never heard of before. A new audience is supposed to be able to get the gist of who these characters are and what they can do. So don't fret if you feel like you're supposed to have done some homework, because you're not. These games were made in a way to introduce new audiences to these characters. And they do a pretty good job.

Reverse flash is the pettiest and also most fun villain in the Flash's arsenal. I highly recommend the reverse flash death battle to learn more about him. Honestly i don't think hitting a T-Rex in the face with a person would change much considering there's a meteor coming that'll eventually wipe them out

13:24 Dex-Starr the cat looks like a joke character but he actually has one of the darkest backstories in comic book history. He’s an abandoned stray domestic cat from Earth, adopted by a woman in Brooklyn who names him Dexter. During a break-in, Dex-Starr scratched a burglar before his owner was killed and he was evicted by the police. Homeless, he was grabbed by two street thugs and thrown off the Brooklyn Bridge, but the rage that he felt caught the attention of a red power ring and it came to him before he hit the water. As a member of the Red Lantern Corps, wearing his red power ring around his tail, he killed the two thugs and slept on their skulls, proclaiming himself to be a "good kitty" using thoughts expressed in simple sentences. He was described by Geoff Johns in an interview with Wizard as "the most sadistic and malicious" of the Red Lanterns. Originally intended as a joke by Shane Davis, he began being featured more prominently due to positive reception. Dex-Starr frequently travels with Atrocitus, with his vengeful quest centering on finding the burglar that murdered his owner

Red Lanterns are really not to be trifled with. Their anger is so all-consuming that when they get the ring, their blood is replaced by a burning corrosive liquid instead. It's also why most don't survive leaving the Corps. Think only Supergirl and Guy Gardner have managed it thus far. Excluding events like Blackest Night, of course. EDIT: Jeffrey Combs is an amazingly talented actor, on screen and just voice acting. He was Dr. Herbert west in the horror film Re-Animator. He also voiced The Question in the Justice League animated series. He was the guy with no face and dressed like a noir detective. EDIT 2: Firestorm is two people, like you saw. The doctor is the brain, Jason is the brawn. He's not dumb by any means, but their powers need a genius mind to utilize them fully.

YES! In the time I watched part 2, 3 was released. These vids are really entertaining, and if they're doing well, I hope yall would watch game cutscenes of other games as well. Plenty of games with quality cutscenes and great story telling are out there, stories that sometimes are better than most movies these days.

Eobard Thawne, who lives in the future, was a huge fan of the flash, so much of a fan that he copied the flash powers and then, the real flash came and trained him and realized that eobard was causing accidents and then saved them, so Barry Allen stopped him, and eobard became so jealous and hated flash, that he went back in time and killed Barry’s mother

11:10 Because the ring doesn't have unlimited energy. The more you use it the faster it depletes. So it makes sense to only use that or something like it as an ending move when the fight's over not when you're starting off everything. Like what if he uses that on someone like cheetah and then doomsday comes in? He ain't going to have enough power to take him down

I don't know about this version, but the mainstream Hal Jordan doesn't need to recharge his ring any more. His will is so strong that he created his own green lantern ring, something even the Guardians thought was impossible. He is his ring's battery. As long as his will lives, his ring stays charged.

A green lanterns limitations are his willpower and his imagination. As long as he can imagine it, and wills it, it can be done. An older Green Lantern created himself a palace in space

About Eobard Thawne, Yes he's the *Reverse Flash* basically the arch enemy of The Flash, in short he's from the Future & he's super obsessed with Barry Allen that's why he replicate the same incident that gave Barry his powers so that Eobard himself get those powers & after that he even made himself looks like Barry tho eventually alot of stuffs happened (time traveling & all) that leads to Eobard wanted to create a reality where Barry Allen never became the Flash but then he realised that if Barry will never become The Flash then he (Eobard) will never be able to become Reverse Flash, so he decided that he'll make Barry's life a living Hell instead which leads to him doing some really f-up things making *Reverse Flash* one of the Craziest & Evil Villains in the Comic Book History🧑🏼🦯

He recreated the accident that gave Barry his powers and wanted to meet him in person and help him. However, when he was running in different timelines, he unfortunately became insane and started to hate the Flash and they became enemies. He's more insane than the Joker.

I love injustice 2, but one of it's biggest problems is it is more reliant on comic knowledge than the first game is. 1, With the Green Lantern comics there are different lantern colors, essentially 7 of them. Red=Anger, Orange=Greed, Yellow=Fear, Green=Will, Blue=Hope, Indigo=Compassion, and Violet=Love. If someone exhibits a strong sense of one these traits then a ring will find them and they will become a lantern of the color and emotion. 2, To explain the whole thing with Hal Jordan, after the first game he's arrested by the green lanterns and basically sent to a green lantern prison. In it he had ptsd of the stuff he's done under superman's regime. And it fuels him with rage and disgust at himself, so much so that a red ring found him. He then overcame his rage and redeemed himself. But that anger he had is still in him and Atrocitus (leader of the red lanterns) sought him out here because of it.

As A Time Traveler, Reverse Flash/Professor Zoom's origin changes every few years. This is my preferred origin... Eobard Thawn was Barry Allen/Flash's No.1 Fan in the 25th century. SO much so he duplicated the accident that gave Flash his power's, and even got surgery to make him look like Barry. He intended to go back in time to meet his idol, maybe even become his partner. He went back but not far enough, to a point where Barry had died and his nephew Wally had taken over. Disoriented by the time-trip, Eobard visted the Flash museum where an exhibit was on display of Flash's greatest enemy: The Reverse Flash. his identity lost over the centuries, Eobard found out he was destined to not only become Flash's enemy, but be killed by him before Barry "died"....as a result his mind snapped, and he even believed he was Barry for a time (having the same face and powers will do that) The most notable change to his origin in recent years is that to cement his role as Barry Allen's nemeis, he did go back in time and kill Barry Allen's mother, framing Barry's Dad for the crime

Ok so from my knowledge, Eobard thawne was a MASSIVE Flash fan from the future. During his time, I believe a meteor fell into his backyard and contained the Flash’s suit inside it. He used the suit to try and replicate the speed force (AKA the thing that makes Barry or flash super fast). He made the speed force, but with a bit of a twist, calling it the “negative speed force”. He applied said speed force and ran so fast that he traveled back in time and finally met his hero (he had a red suit before the yellow). Flash took him under his wing for a while until he realized Thawne started creating different problems only for the both of them to save the day. After being disbanded for a while, Thawne went back (or forward, don’t remember) to do something that will prove his and Barry’s bond meant something. Thing is, Thawne found out Barry was doing fine even without him, which I guess made him upset. He ran into some point in the past to find out that he became Flash’s greatest enemy instead of his best friend. That broke him and he wanted to get revenge on Flash (for some reason). He went to the past and tried to kill Flash as a kid. However, in doing so, he started to fade away, so he stopped the death from happening. Explanation: *Thawne was a fan of the Flash and started to research about him, which made him who he was. If he killed Barry BEFORE he became Flash, then both Flash and Reverse Flash wouldn’t Exist since Flash was the whole reason Reverse Flash existed.* Back to the lore: knowing RF can’t kill Flash since it would kill himself, he decided to make Flash’s life a nightmare. Pushing him down stairs, ruining relationships (I believe), and killing his mother. (There was a time where he said he would adopt Flash as his own son) Ever since then, RF has been a will always be Flash’s nemesis

the only limit to the Ring's power is the wielder's imagination - which is why Kyle Rayner is the best human Lantern. He's a literal artist, his constructs are detailed to the last screw. Too bad he went out like a mayfly in Injusticeverse.

Kyle maybe the best overall lantern having found equilibrium between all emotions, but Hal's the greatest Green Lantern and also one of the strongest out of any Lantern ever. His will is enough to overpower the literal manisfestation of will power in the DC universe. His constructs may not be the most fancy, but they are the most powerful.

The Reverse Flash is one, if not my favorite DC supervillain. From the different and few actually Eobard Thawne lore stories, he became a living paradox, or can’t die because he was in the speed force at a certain point in time of his previews deaths, negative speed force? Those are the ones I can recall in this instance.

Fire Storms powers aren't just fire, it's more of nuclear, he can change the atomic structure of things like make a stone wall Metal, or form different kinds of radiations and absorb them as well, that's how he made Kryptonite. He can also as you saw there was about to go nuclear he would have blown up the whole city like an Atomic Bomb.

Reverse flash is the last person you’d want as an enemy. He ran back in Time to kill Barry as a kid cause he couldn’t do it when Barry is an adult, Barry stopped him from doing that but in a rage he killed his mom instead, framing his dad in the process which got him locked away. He ran back in time just to screw up his chances with any girl he was interested in, erased his best friend from existence so Barry can grow up alone, ran back on time to make him miss baseball catches, and much more. Basically he’s a flash fan from the future that recreated what have flash his powers and became a speedster. He then worked with the flash when the flash time traveled to the future (thawnes future) I think he got there by accident, but while Barry’s true nature is heroic, Thawnes was more cynical and Barry had to get him to stop since he was killing people rather than turning them in. Thawne feeling betrayed began fighting Barry. He was time traveling at the time as well (it’s like a speedster law to not do that but he kept breaking it) and discovered the ultimate enemy of the flash was Him, which drove him insane and made him hate Barry more. He’s literally the pettiest villain ever

30:21 kryptonite doesn't take away their powers immediately. It just weakens kryptonians and makes it hard for them to move but they still have all that strength so even if you have kryptonite Superman could still kill you with a punch for quite a while.

So Eobard Thawne aka Reverse Flash is actually a very complex character with a mega crazy history but to sum it up in 3-4 paragraphs: Eobard grew up in the 31st century as one of the flashes biggest fans, having been raised on stories of the scarlet speedster. One day Barry Allen himself time travels to the 31st century earth and interacts with Thawne which leaves a mark on the boy. Now obsessed with the flash, he even goes so far as to become a forensic scientist like his hero…and also winds up in the exact same accident that gave Barry his powers. Now overjoyed beyond words, Eobard races through time to meet his idol and finds himself in the 21st century Flash Museum. Curious, Thawne enters the museum as in his timeline the identity of Flashes greatest Villan had been lost, and so like an aspiring historian Thawne enters the hall of villans within the museum and is shocked by what he finds: newspaper clippings and various photos of…himself, battling the flash as his greatest Villan. Distraught, and determined not to become what he saw, Eobard returns to his time to fight crime as its Flash. Sometime later, Barry once again runs through time to the 31st century where he meets Thawne again, who is so happy to see him as he wishes to show him all the good he has done. Turns out though the “good” he had done was manufactured by him so he could paint as good a picture of himself to the public as possible - even starting several crimewaves that endangered hundreds just so he could save the day. Enraged by this abuse of his power and his name, Barry all but disowned Thawne, who then had a mental breakdown over being rejected by that which he worshipped. And so, Thawne decided that if he could not be the flashes best friend/sidekick, he would become his greatest enemy and nemesis, inadvertently fulfilling his own “future” by doing so. Thawne is jokingly referred to as the “cockroach of the multiverse” because no matter how many cosmic shattering events have occurred in DC, Reverse Flash has survived everything that’s been thrown at him, including being shot in the head or having his molecules deleted by Dr.Manhattan.

Eobard Thawne, also known as the Reverse-Flash and Professor Zoom. Thawne found a time capsule in the 25th century containing a costume of the Flash and with a Tachyon device amplified the suit's speed energy, giving himself speedster abilities. Reversing the costume's colors, he adopted the moniker of "Professor Zoom the Reverse-Flash" and went on a crime spree. However, the time capsule also contained an atomic clock which, due to the effects of time travel, altered into an atomic bomb. To prevent its detonation, Barry Allen pursued and defeated Zoom, hoping he knew where the clock was. He did not, but Barry later found the clock, detonated it safely, and destroyed Thawne's costume. Blaming the Flash for his defeat, Thawne became obsessed with "replacing" Barry and traveled back in time to exact his revenge. Iris West rejected his romantic pursuits to which Thawne killed Iris. After Barry had found love again, Thawne threatened to kill Fiona Webb (Barry's new fiancé) on their wedding day. Fearful that history was repeating itself, Barry killed Thawne by breaking his neck.

4:25 I can't remember the reasoning but reverse flash has always been a paradox. I think it was when the crisis happened that rebooted the DC universe is when it happened because I think he was in the time stream when everything was wiped away so it made him unable to be affected by time. Where you could go to a different point in time and kill him and his future self would still be around. Reverse flash is actually insanely broken. I don't remember everything but I believe that's a lot of what happens So him being unable to die from an ancestor dying makes sense. But it's only with reverse flash that that happens If you killed anybody else's ancestor they would disappear. Again reverse flash is broken and he's a sadistic son of a b****. In one storyline dude literally goes back in time and makes it where one of Barry's friends were never born so he could spend his childhood alone or something like that. You should really look up on the lore of reverse flash. Hell if you watch the reverse flash versus Goku Black death Battle and actually touches on a few things he's done

Reverse flash basically is a fan of flash from the future. He got his powers coping flash and when he met the flash he was really excited to be a hero but flash knew he whould be reverse flash but still gave him some chances. But reverse flash had too much ambition and started causing troubles for himself to solve, like putting buildings on fire and saving the people. Flash discovers thiz and stops him and then reverse flash becomes super pissed and decides to destroy flash life for the humiliation. Reverse flash literally goes back in time erases flash childhood best friend, pushes flash as an child on stairs and for a bunch of other petty things, until his lunatic behaviour made him more pissed over flash and decided to make a change onto his life by killing flash mom what created a paradox because flash is only flash because his mother was killed and reverse flash only exists because flash exist so reverse flash became immortal because of that paradox. So basically while flash is alive reverse flash will always come back from the dead because of the paradox and because flash needs to be alive reverse flash can't kill flash only make him suffer without changing much of the future and breaking the paradox so reverse flash only option is to hurt people close to flash like his wife, parents, family and friends because he can't kill flash himself because that whould break the paradox.

Firestone was introduced in the DCs The flash show basically him and the professor can use with each other by the fire matrix making them a little walking talking fire they basically can't create fire in different types of elements including they can make like the same element that creates kryptonite The Firestorm that you're seeing is Jason he's one of the firestorms the original was Ronnie

Origins of Dex-Starr: In the Injustice comics, Ra's al Ghul made a plan to destory civilization by releasing a powerful android known as Amazo. Due to his goals, Amazo was programmed to only attack people, and spare animals. Amazo was tested in a small town with a popular of 3000 people. Dexter the cat was on his owner Toby's bed when the attack started. As Amazo decimated the town, Toby's parents went to wake him up to they could escape, Amazo targeted them, the last people alive in the town. Dexter attempted to claw it, but was caught in one hand and spared, due to him being an animal. Amazo incinerated Toby and his parents and left, leaving Dexter to mourn the loss of his family. Later, as he sat in the ruins of his home, a Red Lantern Ring flew down to the growling cat, having sensed that "Dex-Starr" had great rage in his heart, and turned him into a member of the Red Lantern Corps.
