Sometimes you shouldn't take the first product of the regen. I've kept my original gear sometimes and regen that same piece of gear a couple of times and came up big. The first offering would bump it up about 1000 credits in value, but the second or third one bumped it up about 2500 or so. Don't settle for the first one. Sometimes the first one will be super generous though and you'll want to take it but that's more rare.

Best thing to do is just grind your character to 20 and spend about 200 tokens on one gear set. With time and luck your epic gear can be much stronger than realized
