Ink Exploration- Wearingeul- White Rabbit

2 жыл бұрынToday we're exploring our third ink in the Wearingeul Alice in Wonderland series- White Rabbit. In addition to White Rabbit, the line also has Alice, Queen of Hearts, Cheshire, and Mad Hatter. All the Alice in Wonderland inks have lenticular labels that feature the character the ink represents. This ink is a pink ivory color and shades nicely.

That might be the paper. I'd call it a pinky-tan. It's almost like a skin tone.

Thanks for sharing this. The ink reminded me of Colorverse Brunch Date, but as you were working with it, the ink seemed to have an opacity and gray undertone. I was pleasantly surprised by how water-resistant it was too.

It’s also pretty close to FWP Lady Rose, but not quite. This ink is a big orangier and darker in writing. Based off the Wearingeul photos I was worried it’d be too light, but I think it’s actually pretty legible even in finer nibs. I’ve been very pleasantly impressed by the brand.

Such a pretty ink! How does this compare to Herbin Rouille d'Ancre or Laban Aphrodite?

I have no idea. I don't have samples of those inks, but I bet you can compare them on inkswatch.com. If you're not familiar with that site, it's really amazing. Chris Saenz and Matt do a fantastic job of running it.

Not my kind of ink. Yeah, I might prefer with a B nib. 🙄

Could be nice for drawing or painting portraits. Yup would also look good in a broad nib.
