Thanks for another fab video guys! As usual, you always have something (or many things) to add to what i already knew about InkStitch. This time, one of the many things i learned was how to easily "expand" my fill stitches, so i dont have to manually outset the items in Inkscape anymore. And since i watched your prior video, i've been using your [ "shift" + a color from the pallet = path line color ] shortcut a whole lot and saving tons of time doing it. The time you guys spend making these videos for us is greatly appreciated!

Great video, as always. I really appreciate your embroidery series. I'm just getting started in machine embroidery, and you do a great job of explaining Inkstitch. Just today I realized that Params doesn't produce the same result as the stitching simulator, and it was great to see you came to the same conclusion. I've had my machine about a week and just made some ITH Magic the Gathering coasters for my nephew. I wouldn't have gotten this far without your vids, so Thanks!

Lots of great info here! Thanks guys!! Turning off the underpath and underlay is really useful for sparse fill for something like a knockdown stitch. The skip last stitch in a row is pretty great for feathering the edges and patterning your fill. I’ve been working a lot lately on trying to figure out how to do patterned infill and it’s frustrating.

Another great video. Thanks so much to both of you. I've read the Inkstitch documentation, but seeing the settings actually applies and adjusted goes a long way to clarify the words alone. I've played with the settings to better understand what you've shown in this video at the expense of wasted material, thread and time. Thanks again.

Hello Peeps Thank you so much for your tutorials. I've learned a lot from them. I credit you for teaching me how to use Inkscape/ Inkstitch. In the fall 2021 I got an embroidery machine, but knew nothing about embroidery or digitizing. I just knew I could create custom designs. I watched your beginners' series as if I were in a classroom, taking notes and all. I'm now I bit more comfortable with the software and have created a couple of my own stuff, but I always learn something new from your tutorials. Thank you :) This was a very helpful walkthrough of all the things we can change in params. As far as suggestions... I can't remember if you made a tutorial about the commands we can add to the designs. Anyways... thank you! Ok, bye :)

Hi! My problem I'm facing is complicated...I'm trying to get the params to work with multiple fill shapes and running stitches. However, I can't load the simulator, because it says that the running stitches have too few subpaths. See, it's thinking the running stitches are satin, for some reason. On the other hand, it did say 'the script didn't return an error, but it may indicate that the results may not be as expected'. Though, it did work on the realistic preview simulator. All of your videos are amazing, BTW!

hi its no good for my machine because it is not very tuned all the time-, that the start and the end of the stitches happens right in the middle of the "object", because there's always a missing line - for some reason at the end ! I would prefer if it starts and ends in not in a such a visible point, better up or down - not right in the middle !! Thanks

Hello there, to add a stroke (or border) around a circle or any shape, press and hold “shift” while selecting a color. You can then adjust the thickness and type of stroke in the “fill and stroke” settings. Hope this helps!

I believe we are using version 2.0 of ink stitch. As we cover in our video, if you don’t highlight a satin or an object with a stroke, the other options won’t pop up in params. Hope this helps!

In params, the options that show up depends on what object types you bring in params (if you bring a stroke you only get stroke options). I’m not completely sure if this is your problem, but I hope this helps!

Thanks for watching! If you’re using the built in Inkscape text and font tool, first turn it into a path (Path - Object to Path). Next, you can select Object - Ungroup, which will separate each letter. Lastly, select each letter (hold down shift) in the order you want them to stitch out and go to Extensions - Ink/Stitch - Edit - Re-stack objects in order of selection. If on the other hand, you are using the lettering tool text, ungroup the letters (Object - Ungroup), select objects in order you want them to stitch out, and then re-stack the objects (Extensions - Ink/Stitch - Edit - Re-stack objects in order of selection). If any of this is unclear we also have a video about how to re-stack objects: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p8yBi9qX17TQm6c.html Hope this helps you!

Hello, I have watched all you video but I can't seem to find any information on how to fix/remove jump stitches in inkstitch. Is there a way to remove the jump stitches in the software (inkscape/inkstitch)? Currently I have to cut them with trizzers and it is getting really tiresome and problematic. Please let me know, thanks.
@ProjectAnonymous_Duo
@ProjectAnonymous_Duo Жыл бұрын
Hi! To remove jump stitches within the software you can use commands, you can locate the commands tool by going to Extensions - Ink/Stitch - Commands - Attach commands to selected objects. Depending on your machine, to cut the jump stitches you can use the “Trim thread after sewing this object” or “Stop (pause machine) after sewing this object” command. If you want additional information on commands, you can watch our video on it: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fbViqLWIu6msdZc.html.
