The Inka Avalanche is a Mass Start Downhill Race. 300 mountain bikers racing all together to finish 15 kilometers below, in the famous sacred Valley - Peru.
After I won the first final race run, I decided to start from the really rear for the second race run, behind all the other riders. My challenge was to catch everybody !

He was fast AF starting from the back. Starting from the front, he absolutely murdered that trail and left the zip code on everyone. 2nd place was far enough back that Dude had time for a beer after giving his bike to those kids. It seemed like almost 5 minutes. Even he started looking for the next guy after he chilled with the kids. That's serious training right there. You gotta be on the bike a lot to have that kind of stamina. He hardly coasted. He was mashing those pedals on everything, including the downhills. Total freak.

He competed against himself 😂 I don’t understand how he’s so fast and I don’t understand why people are saying “they ride for fun not to race each-other” that’s true, they ride for fun, but it’s also a race, that’s why there is a finish line. I’m unsure if you get $1000 dollars for getting first place but either way I don’t see a problem with him racing and being a try hard when he clearly showed respect and the end of the race and crossed the line with the other person together

In summer, Colorado ski resorts turn into Downhill Mountain Bike resorts (lifts and all). As an amateur, I used to go in the early 2000s and experience a lot of friendliness and general goodwill among the riders I encountered. I don't know if it's just the vibe that comes with people that do the sport, but it was always an awesome experience riding with strangers - everyone was pretty supportive and celebrated each other's riding. Seems to be the general case in all of the videos I have seen to date.

@@R__K There is electric mountain bikes, I see older guys using them on the trails near me. They say you can still get a good workout in on them in low mode and if you really want to go fast you can turn up the power. It's not like a dirt bike where you push a throttle and go. There's a motor that helps make turning the pedals easier. A common one I see is the specialized turbo levo, but anyways these are normal bikes not e bikes.

@@David-ud9ju not if the entire pack knows who you are and thus also knows you’re the fastest one in the race. Starting in front and leaving everyone behind from the start would be a dick move. This way, at least you give the competition a chance to stay ahead seen it’s not easy to move forward on such a narrow parcours. He didn’t force anyone out of his way. He asked. And he got a positive reaction every single time. Why? Cause they know who he is and what athlete he is. Don’t see why you need to be negative about it?

@@David-ud9ju i got that vibe at first, but its just obvious hes faster than them, and this isnt nascar where they try to block you from overcoming them. as you said its a race, regardless of his position, to win a race, you need to pass people, and when the motor is your own body, and someones faster than you, you let them by, because purposely blocking someone, just because you are slower than them, but you dont want to loose your spot, is also a dick move. in a race its not dictated by your starting position, although that does help alot. passing happens in races, its not a dick move to let people know you are behind them, and are able go to faster than they can.

Well.. sometimes he needs to overpass on weird angles but i reckon if the race trail wasn't mixed with that paved road (where he could by-passed the most of people) i didn't think otherwise he could make-it down with same results.. I watch him at Megavalanche where they started on top of a mountain racing down on a wide snow & ice ski slope there he also could by-pass most but there it takes the most of risk and some big balls because of much higher speeds and on smallest mistake the fall is longer by sliding on the ski-slope and would be hard to re-gain the lost positions until the end of the race since latter the trail-track gets very steep & narrow ..
