I did it on myself when I was 15, a bit after I came out as trans. I really love it, it's not my favorite, but it's special to me. My favorite tattoo is a shitty drawing of a dog with a birthday hat on. His name is Pogo and it's his birthday every day.

A good tattoo doesnt have to be "artistic", it doesnt have to be exact, nor brilliant, or colorful. It only has to be what it means to you. Ex. A friend has firemans crest with axe and helmet and a wall of flame. It looks like a child drew it because he drew it when he was a child at the time of his grandfather's (a fireman) passing. Great and worst in ink is subjective.

I think this is the worst excuse or reason behind getting a tattoo, don't get me wrong tattoos are a very important decision and it meaning something important I think is fantastic. but I think people think that tattoos HAVE to mean something and that if someone asks about their tattoo they have to have some awesome reason as to why they got it. when in fact that was the biggest reason that kept me from getting my tattoos. I wasnt sure what was important enough for me to have forever. And what if I dont care for that thing in the future? and then one day it hit me and I realized it doesn't have to mean anything. I'm an artist and I love art and I appreciate good artwork and the simple fact is most people get tattoos not because they mean something but because it looks fucking cool and I think a lot of people are afraid to admit that so they try to give it importance by attributing some kind of story to it. When really theyre reason is: "tattoos are dope everyone thinks theyre dope, put that shit all over me!" Lol once I finally decided my tattoos don't have to mean anything and I simply realized how much I appreciate art and the artists that do them it made it so much easier to take the plunge and just remind myself that it doesn't have to mean anything if I dont want it to. what it means is that I get to wear amazing artwork by an artist that I personally look up to for the rest of my life and that makes me happy.
