If you go the guard dog route, I highly recommend connecting with sheep ranchers either in Florida or other southern states who have trained multiple generations of flock guardians. Explain what you want to do and get some ideas and input from them. I strongly believe that will be the best route for your setup. You need something that will be rock solid around your reptiles, from fierce little Laggie to a helpless little cherry head hatchling, and will always put up a fight with intruders, no matter how fierce or friendly they might be. It needs to be constantly vigilant and willing to patrol a large area day and night. Such a job sounds very similar to a working sheepdog's daily routine.

A guard dog is a really good idea. I’d look into a livestock guardian dog breed; they are big, adapted to outdoor living, instinctually patrol their property, wary of strangers and unfamiliar animals, bark loudly whenever there is suspicious activity or unfamiliar creatures on their land, and have strong instincts to protect their animal charges. They work even better in pairs or more. They have an intimidating bark and size. They would also protect your animals from predators like the raccoons that killed some of the turtles months back. But you’d have to make sure you have a tall, strong fence around your whole property as they tend to expand their “territory” off of your property and wander around and patrol off your land in suburban environments.

This seems to be a real problem lately and it's kind of scary because it's his home. Tyler also had an incident last year where someone let his Rhinos loose. He found them wandering around the neighborhood so it's possible Inky was too quick and somehow managed to escape. Hopefully there's a chance she's lurking somewhere nearby. It's truly sad because there's nothing for these knuckleheads to gain by doing this and it hurts both Kenan and the Kamper community. The majority of us really appreciate the insight he provides each and every week (both educational and personal) but unfortunately it only takes one bad apple. If anyone out there has any information do the right thing and help bring these animals back safe!

Thieves are some of the biggest low-life degenerates on the planet. Are there worse acts, absolutely. But an individual that feels entitled to steal what another person works hard for are just scum. Then you become a whole new waste of oxygen when you steal someone's animal, their loved one... Just disgusting.

Y'know, I know this was uploaded 4 months ago and that you found the critters but I just have to say - I relate and I'm so sorry this happened to you. I gave my animals to a "lady" who I thought was my friend for over 2 yrs. I was going through a tough time so she offered free pet sitting and she said she'd take great care of them. She assured me that whenever I wanted them back, she'd gladly give them to me. I did a stupid thing; I trusted someone who I didn't know was a thief, even with warnings my family had given me. I've run this fish rescue for 9 yrs but at this time, being 15-16 yrs old and disabled, I needed help. I can't work a traditional job due to my debilitating health issues. I just needed a friendly hand... She STOLE 7 of my beloved bettas, an australian rainbowfish, 2 amazing mosquitofish and many more. When I asked for them back she informed me that apparently, while visiting Wisconsin, had DONATED them to an aquarium. She knew I was in a different state and wasn't old or healthy enough to get them back. One of my favorite fish I've ever had, a stunning female betta named Cherry, was apparently given to a "friend that she didn't talk to anymore". Either she lied and the fish died, she sold it or this was the truth. Whatever the case she NEVER told me she was "downsizing", and never asked if I wanted my fish back. My beloved fish that took time and money to rehabilitate. I also let her rent my 125 gal tank with a stand so she could accommodate some bigger fish and guess what? She told that under my face too. I lost my $600 aquarium to a thief. She also came to my house one day, stole and sold a $250 fluval FX4 I was cleaning outside. This jerk stole from a disabled child! I mean, who does that? I'm 18 now but this event has stilled scarred me. I'm a little man, only 5' tall, and my health issues have cost me my life since I was 2.5 yrs old. I know no different than pain and anguish. So if you know a lady by the name of Selena Chavez in Colorado Springs, CO, KEEP AWAY FROM HER.

Why does this sound like stealing to order... to bypass all the other animals, that were more accessible with fewer doors ... its mental. I am so heart broken for you Kenan.

I had two of my rhino iguanas taken. The feeling can’t even be expressed in words. Words don’t do it justice. You mentioned getting a dog. After I ended up getting my pitties. They are huge goofballs but fierce protectors. You do what you need to to protect your babies. My heart hurts for you and we all here in Florida will be listening for you today.

I can’t stand a thief. Someone who can so carelessly take from someone else who has worked so hard for their family/self/property is scum, to say the least! I don’t see anyone getting Inky out of that hide box without taking it apart. They may have tried and left the doors open when they realized it wasn’t possible. I would be searching all over the property for her.

What really gets me, is that the thieves probably watch your videos, and know the exact layout of your place, including how Inky's hide is constructed. Rottweilers are excellent guard dogs, and they are extremely good with children. They are easy to train, don't bark for no reason, and have short coats that are easy to maintain.

Tom and Brian talked about this person in a video a couple months ago. The police need to go check him out immediately! No way Bobby or Inky would go quietly. He's got to have bites and scratches on his arms regardless of gloves and long sleeves!!

Look into any home/property defense YT channels and see if you can run a collab on fortifying the property maybe? Guardian dogs are great! Serious note: they're easy to train and will protect your kids as well. I'd highly recommend an Antolian shepherd or a Beaurcan, they'd do well with the heat.

I have been following you for a few years now and what you do is so inspiring, even though reptiles aren't quite my thing. Your lifestyle, dedication and the time and love you put into your animals and your environment is an example to me. I dream of being able to do similar stuff at my home in the near future. This made me want to fly to Florida to help even though I have no idea what to do! Have you thought of micro chipping? I know it's not completely effective but limits some sales, trade, etc.. I'm so sorry. :( After you told us about some of Tom's animals having been stoles (and one killed) I was constantly worrying about you getting hit as well. That definitely sound like the same person and I think selling them is not the goal, I think that's some kind of sick sociopath who's getting off on the power, attention and maybe the idea of owning animals that are like little celebrities. Definitely need to have locks on your enclosures and security cameras viewing them :( I don’t put any of my animals in outdoor enclosures without doing this first :( same thing happens in Australia, so sorry this has happened to you mate! Have you thought of perhaps exposing this person on your channel with the surveillance footage ? Some of the viewers that live in Florida may have an idea of who this guy/ gal is.

I heard this happening to Tom and I was so worried that they might try and do this to more people. God, I hate that keep doing this and keep getting away with it. I've had this happen I know that rage it's beyond anger and it consumes you, I'm truly sorry! Kenan maybe create a patreon or some kind of donation link for people like myself that would donate for a reward that leads to the capture of these garbage human beings or more importantly the return of inky and Bobby safely!
