when i was like 14 i remember constantly sliding out trying to learn royales, almost breaking my wrist, to this day i have wrist pain because of that. but that was before soul plates with backslide grooves. one day i just got em but also it gets alot easier with actual aggro skates. now a royale is my safe trick on anything.

Hey Tim! Thanks for sharing. I hear ya. That’s why I want to imbed the importance of strong legs and riding on top of the rail. Having aggressive skates definitely makes these tricks easier. 👊🏼 Royales all dayyy! One love brother 🌱
