Sadie Saves the Day love your print outs on skill share!! I have done so many mixes and tonal charts it's insane but having the charts made everything organized and clean for me to use for finished paintings.

This is a cool idea to swap channels. I like the last method of using color to paint the shadows the best.

I swirled over to Amazon to check out the masking fluid mentioned, and there appears to be a version of it that is not latex-free. Just a heads-up in case anyone with a latex allergy gets interested in this product so you know to check which listing or bottle you're getting

WOW - great job Sade. You packed a lot of info into your video. I now have some ideas on how to approach white subjects, although I'm sure it takes lots of practice to figure out best technique for various subjects. I have to confess when I saw your exuberant introduction to Denise's video, I wasn't sure your teaching would suit me (I'm a highly sensitive person who learns best from calm voices). So forgive me for pre-judging based on your "bouncing-off-the-wall" introduction to Denise's video. Great job Sade and Denise!

Did I get that right, that Sadie lives in Germany? Just asking because I do and I would never have guessed that! And it would be just so interesting, because I could ask her where she gets some supplies that I find so hard to find here. AND if so, I could say something more about the yellow ochre and I would recommend to try the boesner brand.

Wow, Sade, you came up with an AWESOME idea for a video! Really really cool, and I think it fits well in Denise's catalogue of videos. =^.^= By the way, it looks like the gel pen you tried to use was the Sakura Jelly-roll pen? I've noticed that they really aren't opaque at all (They almost seem to dissolve!) and it's significantly better to use a Uniball Signo pen if you have the option to. Denise, congrats on 1 year!!!!

I agree on both accounts - great video Sade and Uniball FTW. I HATE my white jelly rolls. They're nothing but frustration and misery hahah.

In Liquid Color totally.....with one exception. Apparently the uniball signo's reactivate sennelier paint, especially the Quin rose I have. Which I use often.....so any white highlights made with the uniball on sennelier turn to a color in a minute or two. That, and when writing on acrylic paint, are the only times when the jelly rolls actually have a use. Otherwise, yeah, they're a garbage pen and I don't understand why almost everyone has them. I feel like I'm a weirdo for not liking them, so it's nice to hear I'm not alone!

I guess the next step in the line is posca pens?! But obviously you've figured out methods that work for you without a totally layer of white so who cares!!! I did used to have a pente aqua brush filled with some bottled white ink but I have no idea what it was, now. All I know is don't fill it with acrylic inks because those will clog like crazy.
