Imagine being held prisoner for a crime you didn't commit, and watching your life slip away behind bars, when suddenly the man who sent you there now joins you as a prisoner himself. Would you think about killing the man? Plotting revenge on the very person who destroyed your life? In today's new video we have a heartbreaking story of a man who has spent 46 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit, and what happened when his accuser wound up in the same prison.

I guess when you're a country that has nearly 25% of the worlds prisoner population but under 5% of the world population things like this are going to happen. Add the likes of minimum mandatory sentences making it easier to plead guilty to something your innocent of and get a guaranteed 5 or so years for something like robbery rather than take the risk of a jury and then getting something like 30yrs, there's going to be a lot of innocent people in prison unfortunately

@@owenfitzsimmons5511 not just technology but imagine all the support mechanisms that have either gone or changed so much you literally can't apply for assistance to help you back into society as well as having a mark on your job applications even if your case is dismissed and the mental trauma from being institutionalised for so long, it's hardly a surprise so many go back to prison, even if they were first put inside while innocent

"When dealing with Street guys and career criminals you may not be guilty of this but you're guilty of something". 9 to 5vers are far less likely to be convicted of a crime that didn't commit. Stay off the streets and protect your reputation.

This is why so many young people give up on their dreams of being a lawyer. The system is too broken. How could you carry the weight of failure knowing you couldn’t protect an innocent person for the rest of your life?

Could you do an episode about the Japanese surrender in WW2? I'm curious how it led to the creation of anime.

And when people claim the US justice system works I just laugh. For 46 years starting with his original trial throughout multiple appeals this man was denied justice.... 46 years! Imagine what you could have done in 46 years. Chadwick Bozeman who just passed was only 43. Look at all he was able to do in his 43 years. Kobe passed at 41. Look at everything he did. 46 years is a lifetime.

You jump between using Mitchell and Phillips for the wrong people, it’s super confusing.
