Welcome to Beside Habitat, an impressive cabin build project about 1 hour outside of Montreal, Canada.
Set on over 900 acres of land with 2 lakes, these owners are planning on building 75 different cabins, 2 libraries, a workshop, a music studio, a main pavilion, and much more. It's going to be quite literally a cabin city!
In this video, we're touring one of their newly constructed 3-bedroom units. It's an innovative modern Scandinavian cabin influenced by smart design and minimalist design cues. This home is 3 stories tall with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It can sleep up to 9 guests and has a wood stove, an indoor sauna, a well-equipped kitchen, and more.

Im from Montreal, the minimalist feel to this place feels like an uncomplete cabin lol and 300 dollars a night is just straight up robbery. I own a cabin on a lake near tremblent ski resort, my cabin is much larger and the bathroom and kitchen are modern (built in 2022) so are much nicer. Honestly every thing about that cabin looked cheap, even the fire place was of a cheaper mark, not to mention aprt from a camping like fire place theres a total lack of outdoor stuctures like a BBQ, gazzebo, treehouse, garden etc. We rent our cabin for 125 dollars a night and it includes 2 cayaks, a 4 person canoe and a pedel boat. One side of the cabin is lake front the other is facing a forst (crowns land) that will never be developed and has killometers of snowmobile, atv, and hiking paths.

I loved being there with you. Working with those views, the whole log cabin and the smell of freshly brewed coffee, I would definitely come back to this place🫶🏻

Their vision to build more cabins is a good one. I personally like to stay at cabins, where I'm secluded, and able to totally relax. I think they're building them too close and perhaps, should only have 30 of them. People love getting away from the everyday noise, and hustles and bustles of city life. My sister, does Airbnb, her cabin is the only one on top of the mountain, with nothing but trees and waterfalls around and all the wild animal. Bear, deer's, cougars etc. Everyone that comes absolutely loves it, because of the peacefulness and beautiful surrounding. But they tell her they preferred, because it's completely iso lated and they have the entire farm and ver 16 acres, all to themselves, and are surrounded, by nature.

Really liked this cabin! Beautiful wood and windows throughout. The owners plan to develop is pretty ambitious but a great vision. Would be cool to have you revisit down the road to see how they have progressed. Beautiful area especially with the fall foliage. Great video.

I didn't like it at all. It looks to me, as if they just took plywood and put it up there. When I think Airbnb, is a place, where you are swept, by the surroundings. The grounds are breathtaking, but they made little effort in bringing the outdoors in, by not allowing you to enjoy the views. It looks like a box. I will never considered staying there.

The cabin is toooooo empty …. It looks like the construction crew just finished, and we’re waiting for the trucks to arrive so the furniture, decorations, and all of the stuff that makes a home.
