Having been opened when deep snow engulfed Innsbruck a few months earlier, it was in bright sunshine and 32 degrees C that I took a ride out to Olympisches Dorf on the latest extension to Innsbruck's tramway. As with the previous extension to Technik West and Peerhofsiedlung, this will form part of the planned Regionalbahn (route 5 ) projected for completion in 2022.
