Simula ng umupo si PRRD doon lang ako nagkainterest sa politics. Marami akong natutunan sa batas especially martial law. Inexpose nya ang mga Oligarch at kaganapan sa mga makakaliwa at mga NPA. This SONA looked and sounded like it's been memorized and rehearsed but he failed to deliver it adequately. He is mumbling. Many English words are hard to understand. He tries to make jokes and eyebrow raising statements and incoherent English sentences. They all sounded so cheap. He said, " I repeat the repeat" "Tanggapin ko pagmumura ninyo, Wag lang sa malapit" " Huh, haba. Wala na to sa script" " walk na kong ano dyan" " sibat nako" " Dyan sa gallery maraming nag-aaply ng trabaho. Di naman lahat kasi mayayaman yan." " Wag banda dyan sa Recto kasi siguradong pekiin ng mga ulol." " He who is the cause of the cause is the cause of them all " Seriously? shut your mouth up. Can somebody remind this guy he is the President of the Philippines not a village captain. He talks like a shirtless lowlife guy peeing in the sidewalks of Divisoria. He is such an embarrassment to all our members of the Conrgess and members of the Diplomatic corps. On the account of substance of the speech, he also failed miserably. All nonsense. He said the AFP will have a role in drug rehabilitation??? That is not the mandate of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Stop him please. I see the Vice president as the next beacon of hope for the office of Presidency. She will make a fine president. I hope the people can make it happen sooner than later. Stop this nonsense president.

he's speech is just like an ordinary conversation because no pressure on his part not just like noong nkaraang administration. ordinary yet strong & genuine to his words. tagos sa laman at buto. i can't feel a president image talking, but a father & friend figure gived an advise & instructions to his children.

I have never listened or watched any SONA before, but now, addicted watching all of Pres. Duterte's speech, come very naturally and from the heart, we can feel his heartfelt thirst for a real change for the Philippines. Now, I care more about the Philippines though I dont live there, and I am so hopeful in his time, many good changes will happen for our beloved PHILIPPINES.

What I like about Duterte's SONA, it wasn't just a plain speech that he had to finish, he personally tackled issues and explained his stand on each one. Yes, it was a long speech but it wasn't boring thanks to the President's humor and adlibs.

Duterte is better off without a teleprompter. The words of his speech are well delivered and resonated better without the apparatus. He looks stiff when reading but when in impromptu, one can feel the intent of his words which in my experience reach out to the bottom marrow of my bones and spirit. The good thing about him is his way of promoting awareness that insinuates a real and truthful perspectives for the Filipinos to know and think about. I am very proud of having a president like him and can shout to the world AT LAST WE HAVE A GOOD LEADER WHO CARED SO MUCH FOR OUR WELFARE.

That's the reason why Davaoenews love him so much. He treat his city as his child and people are willing to listen and obey him because they knew and saw his love and vision for the city and he had a good and honest leadership that makes Davao a clean, safe and deciplined city. Just like a Philippine eagle that nurtured and raised in Davao they released them when the time comes. Now Davao let Duterte fly to fix the country. The best we can do to help is to support, obey and pray for him.

I liked what I heard and as a recent convert, look forward to the sweeping changes he proposes. He is a simple man who speaks from the heart. It was never enough that we only spoke of the poor and marginalized as if talking about them would make their problems go away. I believe Rodrigo Duterte, in doing whatever it takes to address the country's issues on drugs, corruption and needs of the poor, will make a positive impact in the direction of our country and how future administrations will practice good governance. 01:12:24 this one is very important. It's 2016 and the Philippines still rely on copper technology, we need a national fiber-optic broadband network upgrade. I know PLDT and Globe have already started building Fiber-optic network around the Philippines since 2013 but the main issue still persists which is their pricing. P2500 to P2900 a month for only 50 Mbps is too much, this should be already at least for 100 to 1000 Mbps plan and they also need to offer a more affordable 25 Mbps plan for less than 1K a month so the Philippines would be finally on par with the global standard.
