Its a tactic that they use. They use people as "bridges" to try and make it difficult to track where the money is going. First they scam them and when they cant keep sending any money the scammers offer them financial assistance

Now if a "scammer" deposits $6,000 to my account which I never send back to him, then he's the one actually getting scammed.

@Nick R You didn't get it. Once he called a guy in Canada numerous times pretending to be a new immigrant from Africa and asked for a job reference. The man was so nice he gave him one even though he didn't know him. Then he was calling as the new African immigrant's employers complaining that he did all kinds of very obscene and offensive things. The man believed it, and felt bad for giving him a recommendation which he did just to be a nice guy. So now the man thinks that an immigrant did all these nasty things which never actually happened. So a lot of people asked in the comments that he call him back and tell him it was all a prank.
