Talking to Bixby without wake-up only works when no Bluetooth device is connected to the phone. That's pretty much useless because some device or the other is always connected via Bluetooth.

Yes, I haven't s21, the Bixby update even says in there that it is in this update and that it should work, but there's no switch for there to be turned on

I've always used bixby for managing my device as d sometimes for general questions. Bixby routine conditional functionality ( like Excel) is a major power house of functions. And it is getting better

Because I have a pixel, I obviously use Google assistant but if I had a Samsung I would use Bixby all the time. It seems to be a good assistant from what I've seen.

I'm only using Bixby because my hey google stop working for some reason on my Samsung s20, but still works on my google app while driving! I hate that you have to say your location every time you ask for the weather on Bixby, any fix for this and can I change it to google weather? Samsung has a long way to go to be even close to hey google! 🙂

I really liked Bixby, loved voice. Then one day voice stoppped working. Coulded fix it, so got rid of it. Now it just takes me a little longer to do what took a couple of seconds. learned to live without it.

Awesome video! I have a note 20 ultra and on tmobile. My bixby version is 3.2.46.0. And I don't have these options. I also bought my phone unlocked from best buy when the note 20 ultra came out. I also don't have the 2 different voice wake-up options of Hi bixby or just bixby. Mine only shows Hi bixby and would like to change it to just bixby. Really weird. My model is SM-N986U1. Not sure if that matters.

I do not have this "Talk to Bixby without wake-up" feature visibile on my S21 Ultra in the Bixby settings. Fully up to date and language set to English (United States). No luck in resolving yet. Any ideas please? I am in Australia and another friend of mine does have it on his device.

this is strange. i followed your steps to set this up. i started a timer by saying 'bixby, set a timer for 5 seconds'. then the timer rings, i say 'dismiss timer' and 'restart' it does not do anything. same issue with alarm, when the alarm rings, i say 'dismiss alarm', it also does not do anything

This is a feature I want restored. I don't care if other people hear my phone call. But I want to be able to hear the person calling me and it is a pain to have to go to the phone app options to turn on speakerphone while meanwhile the person calling me is already speaking to me and I usually miss what they are saying to me. At least the first sentence out of their mouths.

I've not found those features on my A53. Those bixby features are only available for flagship? Or are those region specific? On my A53, bixby settings are very simple and there are no new features at all even though I set the region to the US.

bixby can't even dismiss a timer.... i.g. telling it to set a time for 5 seconds... there isn't a command that stops the timer early or a command to dismiss the timer after the timer goes off... useless.. it can't even do simple things like that.

@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN I'm already in One UI 5 since 18th Nov and bixby is also updated to the same ver. The feature is not there. Not matter how many of you report againts me its the same Cheapies for you might be, S20+ is not the cheap for me. And also things work different in INDIA than in US.

Still it would not help, if you are rocking the one with exynos, it will not improve.. 990 processor is power hungry apparently, and the battery size on the phone is not big enough for this phone

Bixby absolutely sucks. When dictating a text message to my S21 Ultra, it constantly cuts me off. After wasting an hour with this garbage software, I completely disabled it and removed all supporting apps. It's truly amazing that in 2023 Samsung is still pushing total trash software on us.
