A small shop in Austin Tx had one when they were new. Got to check it out a few times taking different friends with to give me an excuse to look again. None of them appreciated it as much as I. Didnt even try to make the understand what this beautiful beast was. My thinking was if you get it you know, if you dont its their loss. The looks and sound in person are undecribable

Great review, thanks. In hindsight, I think this was a bargain when you compare it to Honda's MotoGP replica, the RC213V-S, which cost over three times the amount of the Ducati. If you buy one, I suggest you also invest in Bridgestone shares - the 16" rear wheel takes a special tyre that costs over £300 a pop. The best looking front-end since the 916...

@@luddite6239 As I did but I have a rare set of 16 inch Ducati/MV rims that would be nice to try on track one day. Got the rims with an ex BSB MV 312.

@@frankibabi1 The Bike World channel restored a D16 RR a couple of years back and they sourced a set of F & R BT01s from Bob Collins at FWR Motorcycles in London. So, if you're in the UK, you could try him.

The RG500 Gamma is the bike I should have bought. On the dyno it picked up power identical to the Yamaha VMAX when on the pipes while weighing 200 lbs less. A proper twin crank "v4" 2 stroke with disc valve intakes was breathtaking. I got a chance to wring one out at Loudon bike week and it was as close to heaven as I'll ever get.

The VR100 proved to be the most unsuccessful superbike. Not one podium.... all the top pros that took the money hated that bike.

how many people relies this is an A.I voice? H.p, H.p P.s H.p k.m.p.h etc is what gave it away for me. Ffound the text from the main page when i looked at the bike and relies im reading word for word of the video i watch to get here, including the odd "H.P" that made me first wonder. one more generation of artificial voice generation and i wont be able to tell. i wonder what the year over year percentage of content is voice over? bet the next year or two go exponential. p.s nicely put together content, thanks

What About when Ducati Pissed and Moaned when the Japanese Manufactures were only aloud to run 750s in the world Superbikes and Ducati were aloud 916 what because they were twins Bullshit one rule for them one rule for the Japanese and when Honda brought in on the twins VFR1000 SP1Sp2 they were getting beaten they didnt like that Then they decided to go MotoGP with the best electronics on Board I didnt see it mention that or see Casey spining that rear up you can clearly see him go into a corner and have it open full Trottle with no wheel spin tyre going off or getting way too hot

7:41 i'd have to disagree and say the 08-09 r6 engine is the best engine ever made. well over 16k over rpm, 127hp... there's good reason the r6 went track only. phuck i miss my 08

WRONG. The MOST racing production bike ever made is the Honda RC213V. A 6 times motogp world title winner with headlights. You can buy for $200k. A true title winner that will leave that red-dressed princess in the dust.

No it won’t, it also came out way after the desmosedici, and you have to get the power pack only available in EU for even MORE money to still not have any more power. I’m a Honda guy as well but you can’t just blindly make shit up 😂
