In this episode we're coming off one of the best days of fishing we've ever had at Los Buzos, and the bite is NOT slowing down. The clients are landing big fish left and right when Josh Maddox, who got flipped by a big roosterfish last episode, hooks into something MASSIVE that we've never caught before at the lodge.
COMMENT BELOW and tell me which species at Los Buzos would be at the top of your list!

People want to learn keeping their drag light by taking a bath? lol It is a little refreshing anyway and water is pretty clear. Few important rules while kayak fishing: - Keep your drag light unless your are pulling a big grouper from the bottom and know what are you doing. - Do not touch the leader - Be able to get back on your kayak in the rough water unless you are fishing in the Los Buzos with bunch of guides around - Remove/secure all sharp/heavy items that may injury you while flipping. - Dress to swim and rig to flip

@Beyondthebreakers
@Beyondthebreakers 5 жыл бұрын
@@bacefookdat6525 When you get a big fish close to a kayak, do not grab the leader. If fish starts going crazy crazy, you still have the elasticity of your rod and drag of your reel to absorb the power of the fish.

Hey I have a quick question for you first to start out love watching your bids and what you do but I know you've been on a lot of kayaks and I'm from Pennsylvania and doing a river fishing creek fishing and some lakes what kayak would you recommend that stable for a good price I'm a dad married four kids I got around $1,300 to spend what would your recommendation be thanks
@YakFishField
@YakFishField 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. If you can spend a little more, the Lightning Kayaks Strike is the best value in pedal drives in my opinion. They also have a new model coming out in a couple months that’ll be shorter but right at your price point. Check em out at www.lightningkayaks.com Otherwise, you’re probably looking at a paddle kayak. Jackson Kayak makes the best river boats probably, the Coosa HD is a classic and could probably find one used to leave room in the budget for a paddle and PFD.

I don't know the regulations in place in Panama, but as far as I know the goliath grouper is still a protected species everywhere, and in the South Atlantic waters and the Gulf it's illegal to actually pull them out of the water. You're supposed to cut the line/hook with them still in the water. No harm here, because it swam off strong, but just a bit of information for future encounters should you be lucky enough.
@alexanderren1097
@alexanderren1097 Жыл бұрын
Different states/countries can have very different regulations. In Florida it actually is legal to remove juveniles from the water in order to unhook them. I don't remember off top of my head but FWC's regulations specify what size range they consider to be juveniles
