In Europe as a whole its actually illegal for children to be on social media without their parents permission under the age of 16. And some countries even forbid children being involved in 'commercial activity' (> being influencers) online. Both of these rules arent always strictly enforced of course, but they are a thing. Americans really need to make some new rules around children and their use of social media, or at least:make it illegal for their parents to exploit their children on/for it. (for monetary gain)

There's no doubt in my mind that this was done for publicity and not because her account was hacked. That being said, cps now needs to get involved because anyone who would fake the death of a child for attention, is not capable of raising said child.
