Stunning micro scale RC vehicles and more in 1/87 H0 scale.
All these RC rigs are home made. Motorized and modified (mostly Herpa) showcase models in H0 1/87 scale, made by Modelmakers with skills.

Rule of thumb for weathering wheels. If the vehicle is being used off-road, the terrain clings to the tread portion of the tires. If the vehicle is being used on-road, the tread is clear and the wheels and sidewalls are dusty.

We often use fine sand. But we have also cork gravel or coffee grounds.

There is a partly tutorial on the channel Der Theoretiker. When you buy a beginner set at Sol-Expert youll get a step-by-step instruction for the basics with it. But the fun with this hobby is, that there are no real instructions and you have to think yourself how to solve problems. This is not Tamiya 1:14 where it depends on your money how good you are. In 1:87 you have to be a real model builder.

@@mikroengineering7020 While true it helps to have a place for beginners to get started with a simple project and move up from there, though I did find some other stuff by poking around online to find people modifying Hotwheels cars into full functioning RCs.

We have an online forum when you google "Mikromodellbau Forum". But it is in german. Our Facebook Group "1:87 RC / Mikromodellbau" also is german.
