Күн бұрын

In this bass lesson, bass educator Joe Hubbard breaks down the mystery revolving around what's known as "triad pairs" through first improvising an insane traid pair bass solo and then reverse engineering the techniques and jazz concepts used.
Throughout this analysis, Joe Hubbard will teach you the two most important concepts when applying triad pairs over the most common triad pair combinations. Learning this type of triad pair improvisation system will enable you to get closer to the truth when wanting to understand how to play jazz lines in the style of Michael Brecker, Joe Henderson, McCoy Tyner and Pat Metheny.

Really cool stuff Mr.Hubbard! Is there any real difference between composite scales and hexatonic scales? Cheers!
@JoeHubbardBass
@JoeHubbardBass 5 жыл бұрын
In this case yes. "Composite" just means "made up from several elements" so if we have two major triads a whole step apart (several elements) and organise the notes in terms of a scale, the composite scale that results would be a 6-note or Hexatonic Scale that resembles a Mixolydian mode without the 6th. Hope that helps!

Insane is a word that really doesn't apply. It's a technique.
@JoeHubbardBass
@JoeHubbardBass 5 жыл бұрын
Actually- if you watch the lesson you'll come to realise that it's a solo. The concept (not technique) that the solo revolves around is Triad Pairs. You will only understand the "insane" bit when you attempt to play it at tempo from beginning to end.
@jackzango427
@jackzango427 5 жыл бұрын
@@JoeHubbardBass Understood that it's a solo. But with all due respect, it's really not insane. Just requires a little proficiency on the instrument. Good lesson.
