This airplane is just amazing with excellent safety record. Not a single soul has been lost while flying in the A340.

They're making newer aircraft safer. There really hasn't been as many airline crashes in the 21st century as there were back in the 1980s

@@hodb3906 I agree, there should've been none. 2 crashes with an aircraft still considered brand new? I may have to rethink my earlier comment on newer aircraft being much safer. Then again, the new ones still may be safer in comparison to the older ones. There may've been 5 crashes in the same period of time with them in comparison to the 2 with these. But there still should've been none

Awesome video/views. And couldn't agree more A346 is one of the greatest birds out there...pretty sad to see them being phased out. One of my best trips ever on this airplane

It's strange that the A330 is still being produced (1991-present) and the A340 isn't (ended 2011) It's clearly one the best aircraft ever made! I absolutely love the 4 Trents and the downstairs bathroom

Hey Spartan, and the four engines is the reason. No more A340's or 747's. The A380 survives because of its huge capacity. But certainly the A340-600 was a dream to fly on, superb airplane,

emercycrite very true. All the other airlines who ordered the a380 only took small numbers because the plane is too big. Point to point is the future, the 777x and a330neo will get good sales but so is the 787 and a350

The coloring of the scenery is so bright and picturesque looking compared to flying over the US. The Mississippi, the lake of the Ozarks, and other lakes and rivers in the US don't have that bright blue color when flying over them, the fields in the US don't have that shiny bright green color of the grass and fields in this video, and the metropolitan areas of Houston, Chicago, Newark, etc. don't have those bright colored roofs of Johanasburg and Cape town.
