"Even if I'm only twenty I have to run" means: even if he's only twenty it doesn't mean he can waste time. In the song, he also explains what he wants to achieve and how he wants to achieve it. The words of this song are powerful and also suggestive (although the concepts are certainly not original...) rather than "poetic".

The road is tougher when you're aiming for the sky, so even though I'm only twenty, I'll still have to run to achieve all that I want...

I think a lot of these lyrics have to do with all the judgement Damiano has had to face in his life. His entire life, he has wanted to be a rockstar, so he had already chosen a dream that's extremely ambitious, people kept telling him it was pointless, that it wasn't gonna work, that he should have dropped that dream, calling him crazy and judging him (starting from his school teachers) for expressing his personality so strongly (through unusual clothes for example). "Explain colour to those who only see black and white" : having to explain all the time WHY he lives through music and having to justify it in a way, even tho those people, who never dared to dream, would never understand. In Italy, we don't have a system that lifts you up if you want to be in the entertainment industry, it's very much frowned upon. So this is definitely a very recurring theme in his songs: feeling let down or put down by other people and having to push through, believe in yourself no matter what.

Your interpretation is not really correct. This is an open heart letter to people that are in their twenties- He is telling them, not to waist time, that even if you are twenty and expecially if you are aiming for the stars, not to sell your soul, because your choices will impact your life. He is telling to his generation to stay honest and real, because it will be difficult to explain colors to people in power you wil encounter in your path that see only black and white, to adult that don't dream anymore, to cynical people. He is asking are you ready to fight, stay and take responsibility? Or will you run, imigrate, and leave the responsibility of things to others?. What are you going to chose? Even though you are only in your twenties, you have to have a clear path in your mind.

I find your reaction videos very interesting especially because you actually react and share your thoughts, so please don't apologise for that! If I want to see the original videos or hear the songs without interruptions I can easily do that, so I don't get why some people complain about pausing in reactions. I've been watching Måneskin reaction videos by many different people, and it's brilliant how everyone interprets the lyrics from their own perspective and notices things I wouldn't even think of. You being about the same age as the band may sometimes mean you're even closer to the real meaning of their songs than people double your age. Years bring more life experience, yes, but we also forget what it was really like to be 20! Damiano and the other Måneskin members may not be your average 20+ year olds, but in some ways they are still affected by their age and have lived their childhood in a very different world to many of us. I really enjoy and appreciate your honest and spontaneous reactions, on this particular song I agree with what Patricia7561 commented before so I am not going to repeat in terms of song interpretation, just keep in mind Damiano is writing the lyrics and he's writing about his experiences so most of the struggles are about their professional journey in the music industry although they can apply to anybody in any kind of other line of work or life.

I don't think that your assumption of the first part is right, he has no doubts about what he chooses. He says you have to know what you want to choose, good or bad, but he is on the good side. I' m only 20 but I have to run is lost in the translation, I guess, because it wouldn't make sense with Are you the one that fights or runs away.
