I’ve been dealing with my girl insecurities for ten years now we have two children together but I’m now at a point where I have to let go even if it means I have to lose my family. I’ve realized it is not healthy for me mentally I have found myself having trouble focusing or making proper decisions for myself after all these years doing what makes her happy and putting what makes me happy on the back burner. To anyone who is going through this type of predicament do what’s best for you at whatever cost.

I was engaged to this woman. At the beginning, her wanting validation and to be with me all the time was cute. Later that morphed into accusations of actually having sex with every woman who was ever near me -- and not only arguing with me or screaming at me but wanting to actually fight the women -- huge public scenes, etc. There is no way to be with a woman like this. It doesn't get better. It only gets worse and there is nothing YOU can do to help her.

Not Realistic At All. If you decided that you want to be in a relationship with this insecure woman a statement like, “You need to work on Your insecurities.” does not suggest any intention of being with that woman. If you care enough to stay with her your statement should be, “you seem to be having an insecure moment, let’s work on it.” If you don’t want to work on a relationship with her, You shouldn’t be with her.

I just don't want to date anymore. My demons are back, too many disappointments, too many breakups, been too nice, gave them too much respect. I just don't have the energy anymore. I'm tired. When that woman would walk by, if I happen to look up to see who it was, she would say did you get a good look? It was not only women but if I talk to a man while we were in the grocery store, she would tell me, why do you have to talk to everybody? She totally tried to control. She even told me about guys that were calling her from the past, going to have coffee with the guy when she thought we were done, even telling me that she never should have divorced her last husband. I must have very thick skin because I even encouraged her to go back to him. At that point it was just a game. It did not hurt to leave her. She even confessed that she knew she was screwed up. It did come from insecurities from her childhood. I could not help. I finally had to leave. I had proposed to this woman hoping it would change things but it only got worse. You cannot satisfy them. They are damaged goods.

It's funny, a lot of women I talk to want things both ways, They want a hard-working man who can provide them a good future, but they also want a ton of attention, affection, love, romance, security, and control. Balancing all this out is the difficult part for many relationships, insecurity comes from within yourself or a lack of trust, whether it's recent or from the past. I believe setting boundaries before those come up so that you both know where you stand on things, such as priorities mainly, because people prioritize different things in their lives.

Me and my girl friend have been going out for over a year and this is my first relationship. Ever from the start I have helped her through all of these things she has but now that I’ve helped her through all of them now she still shows signs of insecurity. I've looked this up recently due to recently dating this girl who has CF. It's been 2 months but there has no change to her negative outlook on herself as a person, being just a "piece of meat" and "nothing else to give". I've reassured her for these couple months and it's now to a point that where I don't compliment her one day, she called me out via text, after sulking in person, and said "aren't you suppose to be giving me compliments freely". I wish my fiance would work on her jealousy and insecurities because it is draining and I’ve thought about ending things often. It comes in waves because she knows I’m ready to leave every time we fight over it but I stay on edge about it because I know it’s promised to come up eventually and it does. As a person who is insecure when im not utilizing my healthy attachment style, this video seemed a bit harsh in reference to what was suggested be said to the insecure person. Yes those boundaries need to be set and the person needs to heal the insecure attachment style and habits, but it can be more loving and more of a team effort. Me and my boyfriend view the insecurities as a separate being (like an insecurity monster) that we can both tackle together in different ways because i am not my insecurities, even if i live with it sometimes. And healing while in a relationship takes work on both sides equally i will have to say! I would say i dont bash women, i respect women too much, and dont throw tantrums cause thats not my style but everything else was pretty relatable. its also not black and white but at least bringing up some of the habits and mentioning it was nice to hear.

My wife is very insecure, and she is because her exes were being unfaithful. She found out more later on. Now my wife is a needy person and she is nosy and wants to know every detail of my day. It doesn't annoy me because I'd rather let her keep herself busy doing that, instead of something which is dead wrong. I don't see insecurity as bad as long as it is in moderation. I too am insecure about a few things, but I think this takes a lot of time to resolve in any relationship. Trust building takes time and I am still with her because although she is a slow learner, she is able to change and adapt certain shortcomings of her own which she admits. I do get angry with her and I do tell her that I have no fears of losing her because for me, it matters that I am good with her yet if she takes me for granted or wants me to treat her as if I were her brother or father (pampered her too much), then it's just not going to happen. I have limitations of my own and I have an idea of what I want my relationship to he like. Her family always emphasizes on "adjustment" and "compromise" precisely because they know that they've spoiled their daughter by themselves. It's a sad situation yet I am still learning how to manage and time will tell if I did do things right or wrong.

I think my girlfriend is like this. She's always reading wrong, jumping to conclusions from things I say, accusing me of being insensitive or rude, she's jealous and says I make her feel she's not enough for me because she says "my exes are more beautiful, which means I cannot like her" and states that I don't give her enough time and attention. There are frequent fights over these issues, I really love her, but this seems like a no-end circle of both of us feeling bad.

Happened to me... was dating a girl and everything was fine till she started to do something shady. We were not exclusive yet but we were going in the right direction. She was “love bombing “ me ... talking about wedding, meeting my family, ideal home, traveling together ( she booked a trip for us alone after we went out only 4-5 times ..). All of this rose a red flag on me, but I was infatuated so I was going with her flow but taking it slow. Then all the sudden I find out she blocked me on her Instagram stories, she went out with someone else and wanted to hide from me ( which is fine cause we were not exclusive). I confronted her in a nice way ( didn’t argue at all, just question why this behavior ) and she got super defensive and wanted to leave me... and then i sent her another message and she said she needed more time to make a decision about our relationship... and I was like wtf? I didn’t do anything wrong and you made everything about yourself after I caught you doing something shady...

I agree with most points but not all. My bf isn't being disrespected because I have male friends he hasn't met. We are all adults and work. My main guy friend lives 8 hrs from us. I don't even get to see him anymore. We talk and text but that doesn't mean I don't love my bf. He has friends who are women that I haven't met and I would never ever take him away from them. They are amazing women from what I have heard and he has every right to text or call them. I trust him and he trusts me.

My girlfriend is 45 years old, about 5'3" and 130 lbs. Very curvy, pear shape, absolutely gorgeous body. A little flabby but I absolutely love her that way. More than words can describe. I find her more desirable than ANY other female body I've ever seen. No joke. She says she's glad I like it. She has probably put on 20 lbs over the last 20 years and she HATES, hates, hates the way she looks. When she was a size 2 in her 20s, she wanted to be a zero. The insanity never ends. Nothing I do or say helps her feel secure about her body and I'm afraid it may be the straw that breaks this relationship. If she gained anymore weight, I know for a fact, she'd simply stop seeing me due to her fear of me seeing her with more additional weight. Even though I love her no matter what. I've told her I love her no matter what. Her stressing about her weight is almost too much for me. Awhile ago, she almost cancelled coming up after Thanksgiving for fear of covid-19. When she finally came up she commented that she feels really bloated from the eating. I think she almost cancelled because she felt too fat. I think she looked absolutely amazing. Perhaps she knows I like her a little chubby and she hates me for it? Also, she won't let me touch her body, caress her or otherwise admire her when she's naked and we're about to make love. I'm a guy who likes to slowly undress my lover and kiss slowly her body. Nope. She pulls her own pants off. Then, crawls into bed quickly and lays on her back, pulling the covers up (even when my bedroom is dark at night) so I can't see anything. Won't let me see her naked. Also, NEVER lets me look at her butt naked because she has a flabby butt and thick thighs and wide hips, and a little cellulite. And....I absolutely love, love love it. She won't accept it. Heck, she even wears long clothes always, to hide her butt when she's fully clothed. I've never seen her butt in jeans, pants without it being covered by a big long shirt. We don't live together and only see each other about once a month. Serious. She lives at home with mom. Is divorced. Has a 13 year old daughter living with her. College degree. Works from home. Never exercises. So I get that she's busy and has alot of responsibility. We aim to see each other every other week (that's when her ex can take their kid for the weekend) and 60 percent of the time she cancels for some excuse. With covid-19 keeping us apart for 5.5 months, I literally saw her 8 times in 2020 while communicating at least through messenger every day. 8 fucking times! I know she's not cheating. Her insecurities are too strong for her to be dating or seeing anyone. So I know it's not that. Worst part is, I know there's no way in hell I can bring up any of her faults, insecurities or anything critical of her, or, it's over. As simple as that. Is she a narcissist? Should I end this madness?

My ex and I broke up 2 weeks ago. She’s such a beautiful woman. We were together for a little over a year. If I never agreed with the way she did things she’d tell me how I never have her back. It started plenty of arguments. Even when I tried to just talk to her about a situation she had to yell and throw tantrums and turn it into something serious. I even got into an argument with girl over paper towels lol.

The woman I married was strong and independent. But once we got married she started to show more and more signs of extreme insecurity. Social media is a huge issue for her, and as I try to grow my social media platform as an entrepreneur, she tries to find more and more things to be upset about, however I feel as though I am not doing anything that should be bothering her. We have had many arguments about it. Do you have any advice for this?
