Learn how to insert dynamic tables or "repeating sections" into Word templates using Power Automate. Follow along as we walk you through the steps to create a custom Repeating Section in your template and how to write the Array which you can then pass INTO that section from Power Automate.

Definitely! Instead of sending the email, you could use the "create file" action with either onedrive or SharePoint connector

Nice one! Wouldn't a Select be more suitable as it doesn't need resetting nor an inner Apply to each?

I did this today but I have this weird issue where I can see each of the array rows correctly on Word online, but in the app version it duplicates the first row. I have tries rebuilding the content controls and repeating sections from scratch on the template but no luck. Any ideas that could help? Thanks!

Hi Great video and thanks for the detailed explanation. However, could you please explain how to convert populated word document in SharePoint to Pdf. I tried with "Convert Word Document to PDF" and it is not working. Kindly help.

Do you have a strategy for hiding the initial table or labels so that the section doesn't show unless there is data to populate?

With the content controls, you can change the Placeholder text by clicking the "Design mode" button. This will show the content controls with tags and the Placeholder text can be edited. The only way to "remove" placeholder text is to format the Placeholder Text style with "hidden". This style is always hidden in the list of styles, so... Click the dialog box launcher of the Styles group in the Home tab. At the bottom of the task pane, click the button at the right. In the "Edit" tab, select "Alphabetical" as the sort order. Look for "Placeholder text" in the list. Click "Modify". Click Format and choose "Font". In the Font dialog box, click the checkbox for "Hidden" until you see a checkmark.
