Inshore Kayak Fishing - Speckled Trout Fishing Mobile Bay

In this video we head out inshore kayak fishing for speckled trout around Mobile Bay. These conditions were anything but good for catching speckled trout but we were able to fish multiple spots around Mobile Bay until we finally found a few fish that were fired up! Follow along as I show you how to fish these low tide conditions to catch Speckled trout!

Man I know you hate them tough days man. But you did catch yourself a decent one out there. I see it was a little foggy out there Wish help to extend the fun. My boss asked me over the holiday what do I want to do for the company Christmas party. I say go down south and go kayak fishing."LOL" just hope I can talk the rest of the drivers into the same thing.

Being a newer spec fisherman i have a lot to learn. I can say I've never enjoyed fishing as much as spec fishing... I'm in Foley and would like to know if you know of a few places that will produce right now?

I’m with you there, the trout addiction is real! There are several places near you that are good right now. Bon Secour, and Weeks Bay are very good right now. I have a few videos from Bon Secour, little lagoon and Fort Morgan on our Patreon page. These videos give you exact spots where we catch the fish from our videos. I think you’ll find it pretty helpful putting you on fish.

Don’t use an anchor at all. Drift down current fan casting.

How do you always go out and know how to get on the fish cause for me inshore fishing is hard as hell. It’s normally 50/50 for me.

Man a lot of it has to do with developing instincts to know where and how to fish. Often times the original spot I want to hit is dead but I know the fish aren’t to far so from there I fan out and start reading water.

@@southernsalt yea I’ve offshore fished the majority of my life and just got into inshore abt a year ago and It’s a lot more difficult and there’s a whole lotta factors. But the trout just moved into my area (I live in Wilmington nc) so I’ve been able to bag a few, but I’m planning on baggin a lot more while they’re here

I have a question about the fish that got off do you think they were smaller trout?

They all felt like good legal trout. I was just off. Delayed hook set and didn’t have good control of moving my rod with the fish. I was definitely off that day.
